I can't say this does a lot for me, not least because the stations I still listen to broadcast on MW and LW, which I guess aren't going to be getting any love here. Oh well...
Leave it to Apple to dream up something I never thought would be possible: hear a song on the radio and then find it on iTunes for me.
Truly wild what programmers can accomplish nowadays.![]()
This would be extremely handy to have and not just for Music. FM is the quickest way to get a flavor for what a new town is like and what is happening at the moment.
If you're running an n network at home, b/g speed brings the whole thing down.
Sounds useful.
I would love for Apple to offer an API for playing Internet radio stations in the background.
Yeah but most new, better, Wi-Fi routers allow you to split the signals b/g and n into two separate networks so you don't run into that issue. I have the new Airport Extreme that does that and it works great. My gadgets use b and my Macs use n.
Zune had it from day ONE. Little late Apple.... little late.
Better late than never they say. This isn't a killer feature, just something that would be nice to have.

Alas they may be late but it by no means has prevented Apple from moving to the top 5 mobile phone makers in the world in 2 years...As usual Apple is late in its basic mobile features but - better late than never
I would rather see they had put the programming cycles towards something with actual usage i.e. a better iCal/calendar sync (lack of it being one of the few but increasingly annoying things that finally made me give up on the iPhone). Had it been wireless syncing - even better (unless it was FM-tuned)...![]()
You would rather have more programming cycles spent on stuff you want, I can understand that. I however hardly use ical, so I don't need a better sync and I am far more likely to use the FM radio. So now what does Apple do?![]()
Except putting their a** in gear and do both, which should really be possible if they bothered at all about either one of us...![]()
