WOW! they blew it twice!

once with Microsoft mobile games.

Now with Sony.

And the APPLE CAR keeps losing people, But Because Tim Cook wants his last major success to be an APPLE CAR......
The Apple Car in itself sounds like it’s a mistake waiting to happen. So many car manufacturers would throw in the towel on CarPlay etc if Apple goes forward with this.

I'm getting real tired of Apple saying what I can and cannot put on a device I paid $1500 for.
If they want to give permission and demand a toll collection on everything I use on it, maybe they should give the hardware away.

Maybe you should use an open platform where you are in control?

the problem of streaming is lantency. maybe you not work around with remote server windows in china , usa . Its horrible waiting. so normal vps with terminal only the choice,
I agree. I find cloud gaming a complete joke. I can clearly tell the latency involved. And I have gigabit internet. Its not the speed that matters, but the latency.

While we are at it, what’s stopping a PS5 from running non-game applications on it? It certainly has enough horsepower to even run office if we wanted.

I wish Apple would stop blocking gaming streaming services. It's really not any different to Apple blocking Netflix or Youtube having their own apps.

It's basically just a video stream with some return data, hardly requiring access to the kernel.
Because WE ALL KNOW Apple's monopoly App store can't compete.
70% of the reve ue comee from games and imagine what would happen if
Steam
GOG
Other games subscription streaming Apps where on iOS

Apple's App store and Apple Arcade would be destroyed and be as irrelevant like it is on MacOS...along with all their massive profits.

Apple CAN'T compete and need an App store monopoly, simple as that.

It's still laughable.
Yea it is, and i reckon if Steam, GOG etc were on iOS it would utterly destroy Apple's App store when it comee to games.

We all kmow it. Have Apple's App store filled with BS F2P mobile games and have Steam with PC, console and indie games along with their numerous sales. Who would get games from Apple's App store?

Apple's App store and Apple Arcade would be history.

Not unless you’re going to somehow find a large number of developers that currently see no value in developing their titles for iOS suddenly changing their tune and developing for iOS. :) Just because you have a store doesn’t mean there’s anything of value IN that store.

What are you talking abiut dude?

Devrlopers make games for all kinds of platforms, and once Steam or GOG store ie on iOS they will recognize it has a massive install base and update ther games accordingly.

What developers would pass up on that?

"Just because you have a store doesnt mean there's anything of value on that store" what a load of crap.

Dude this is Steam and GOG we're talking about. You know they would kick Apple's pathetic App store when it comes to games, EVERYONE knows it. So spare us the Apple apologetics

The… the same developers that are passing up on it now.

So, by your reckoning, the ONLY reason why CD Projekt RED’s Cyberpunk 2077 is not on iOS is because there’s no Steam store.

NOT because they don’t have iOS developers.
NOT because their game is written specifically for Windows API’s and has zero support for Metal…

It’s because there’s no Steam store. OK

I mean… you won’t find Nintendo titles anywhere but on a Nintendo system. They’ll do mobile specific titles for mobile platforms, but Metroid isn’t going anywhere :)
And for a good reason. Nintendo tried to release proper mobile games, Super Mario Run is a $10 original mobile title that largely failed to attract an audience. "Too expensive" according to numerous reviews, no kidding.
The new Metroid is $60 on Switch, and it's successful. Phone users on average don't want good gaming.

Also, you know, there were better auto runners available for less money. But on mobile 200 million downloads and $60m revenue is ‘largely failed to attract an audience’.

First, it was Microsoft now it’s Sony lol. Said it earlier Apple gaming is way too good. Apple is untouchable. Apple gaming is on

Thanks for the chuckle!

No, the reason is because Nintendo only sells their console software on their own hardware. That’s the way it’s always been and, as long as Nintendo is making hardware, that’s the way it’ll always be. So, when discussing any software that “might” appear on some other platform, you can for sure leave out anything by Nintendo. :D

I’ve heard xcloud is laggy, but Stadia has no noticeable latency at all in my experience. That’s using an iPad over wifi with a PS4 controller.
If you haven’t tried it, give it a go with Destiny as it’s free to play.

I tried Stadia since that is where Orcs Must Die 3 was for a long time. I noticed lag with it. Even with ethernet so it was not a wifi issue.
