That’s what the left doesn’t understand. You think shareholders and businesses are going to just eat the cost of higher taxes? They’ll pass it down to the products they sell. Sure, let’s raise Exxon Mobile’s tax from 20% to 100%. Your $3.25/gallon gas will also go up to $5.85/gallon. Have fun with that.
Oh! You mean like the tariffs that are being imposed now. Are you saying they make the life of everyday Americans worse with inflation?

And you’re saying rich billionaires are not sympathetic to regular people and that we need to coddle them with more tax breaks? Current #Threat included?

I’m not saying tariffs won’t raise prices. Increasing taxes definitely would increase prices a lot more, though, and would be much harder to reverse barring some miracle in Congress.

- How’s the Affordable Care Act going? Only gonna add another $350 billion to the deficit over the next 10 years. If people were working and not on welfare, they’d have reasonable health insurance costs through their employer.

I’m an independent contractor and make good money, but have to buy insurance through the marketplace. Maybe try not to be so narrow minded and realize that not everyone using it is lazy and on welfare. 🙄

I wish Trump was 10% of what MAGA worshippers believe he is. Best countries? WOW
Are you arguing against the fact that UAE, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, China, Singapor etc arent among the best countries in the world? Western democracies are falling apart all over and barely functional as a society.

Lets look at a basic list, you tell me which countries in the middle east are doing better:

Monarchies:
  • Saudi Arabia – Absolute monarchy
  • Jordan – Constitutional monarchy
  • Morocco – Constitutional monarchy
  • Kuwait – Constitutional monarchy (Emir)
  • Bahrain – Constitutional monarchy (King)
  • Qatar – Absolute monarchy (Emir)
  • United Arab Emirates (UAE) – Federation of hereditary monarchies
  • Oman – Absolute monarchy (Sultan)
Democracies/Republics:
  • Egypt – Republic
  • Iraq – Federal parliamentary republic
  • Syria – Republic
  • Lebanon – Parliamentary republic
  • Israel – Parliamentary democracy
  • Turkey – Presidential republic
  • Iran – Islamic republic (theocratic elements)
  • Yemen – Republic
Which countries would you rather visit. Look at China vs the USA even they have a functional government, we havent had one since before nixon even.

Apple is one of several tech companies that will contribute to the construction of U.S. President Donald Trump's the White House's 90,000-square-foot ballroom
If nothing else, it's the sheer size of what Trump has ordered to be built that's also offensive. A 3D rendering of it, including the White House residence and the West Wing, shows that what Trump wants is a huge building that dwarfs the residence, maybe even taller than it, like Trump likes to loom over people shorter than him. If this design is approved (design and construction approval is required, unlike demolition), this will be, to a large degree, Donald Trump's ballroom. That's how it will always be described, which is what he's after.

If you’re making good money, none of the subsidies are headed your way. You can also buy direct through the insurance companies.

The $230 million he is demanding from the U.S. Justice Department for its investigation and attempted prosecution of him. Never mind the conflict of interest inherent in a U.S. president making such a demand of a department under his control.
As is his right. The government strong armed an investigation against him based on a fabricated document created by the opposition. This is all now known facts.

Not my fight, but if there’s no taxpayer money being spent, then who cares?

America is functionally broke because of the left side — not because of Trump:

- How much money you gonna dump into welfare instead of telling people to go back to work? It’s no wonder employers are short staffed and the general working public are stressed out. The spending for this is over $1 trillion per year. It’s ridiculous.

- How’s the Social Security System doing? Bankrupting the country. All drafted up by the left. Those using the benefit are broke, and the Social Security taxes for everyone not collecting are extremely high. Together, employers and employees pay 12.4% of their income to an inefficient system that doesn’t benefit anyone.

- How’s the student loan system doing? We’re only at 1.81 trillion in debt just from this inefficient system, and counting.

- How’s the Affordable Care Act going? Only gonna add another $350 billion to the deficit over the next 10 years. If people were working and not on welfare, they’d have reasonable health insurance costs through their employer.

It blows my mind that people actually think the U.S Government can actually do something efficiently.
As a conservative, it boggles my mind how the Republican Party hasn't figured out how a checkbook works after all these years of pretending to be fiscally responsible. Spending doesn't bankrupt you. Spending more than you take in bankrupts you. The deficit jumps every time Republicans pass tax cuts without cutting spending. That's what is responsible for our massive debt. Democrats may spend too much, but at least they pay for it with tax increases. Instead of making it our kids' problem.

That’s why we need both sides to come together and come up with ways to help everyday Americans instead of bowing to the whims of one. Tax breaks and funding should come with conditions. Drug companies use gov money to do research and yet they leech off of people to make money hundreds of times their margin. Our taxes should work for us as does the gov instead of working to hide pedo files and furloughing federal workers.

How we doing that? Higher taxes means more expensive goods. You could tax all of the rich people in this country at 100% and still not balance the government’s budget.
If that were true than lower taxes would mean less expensive goods. We can all see that's not true.

Every modern Republican presidency has ended in a major recession. We can't keep trying the same failed tactics. All that they accomplish is increasing the wealth gap to create a new aristocracy.

Pretty soon the argument will be that we have to give rich people whatever they want or else they'll take their resources and move to another country. It's the inevitable result of the MAGA movement.
