Honestly Bing has always returned better media results than Google and as of the past two years, more relevant search results than Google. I'm kind of disappointed to see this.

Well, Macrumours, you've done it. You've complained officially about everything. No people in their right mind would prefer Bing over Google. Of course, I would have thought that before checking the comments.

Image results still provided by bing

Also, math results from wolframalpha

Once again Apple is being shown for the complete hypocrites they are. Everyone knows their stance on "user privacy" is mullarky and here's even more evidence. If they truly cared about user privacy they'd use Duck Duck Go.

You should read the comment below from @Quu, I am pretty sure Apple randomise IP addresses so Google does not know .... about who's done the query.

I hope this is being done in a privacy conscious way with randomised UUID's and Apples servers handling the search so Google doesn't get our IP Addresses. That's all I have to say about this change.

Dream on.... Doing that would be a violation of Google's business model.

Seems I don't need to dream as they are protecting our privacy just as I said:
As is expected with Apple now, searches and results are all encrypted and anonymized and cannot be attributed to any individual user. Once you click on the ‘Show Google results’ link, of course, you’re off to Google and its standard tracking will apply. Clicking directly on a website result will take you straight there, not through Google.
