Battery life has been terrible on my 5

The spring board and lock screen take up 25% of my battery wtf?

Safari has taken 26% and I have barely touched it all day. The gear constantly spins at the top left, long after a page has loaded.

Would rather have the option to make Tips **** off. And some more settings panes. Too many things tugged away under General.

Some fonts look really ugly with bold fonts enabled too now.

And Zoom is broken again. Had very similar issues in the early days of iOS 5 (I think 5... Maybe 6.)
You can change (or disable) the Tips apps notifications in the Notifications section of Settings...just as you always could for pretty much any app.

Hello, war Room? I have a question for Dr. Strange Love. isn't airdrop supposed to work between Macs and iphones under ios 8?

My 5 dropped from 100% to 26% within 2 hours this morning. I tweaked some settings in notifications, disabled my betting apps (always on location tracking), then looked at my battery, 3% for calendars, 5% for numbers, keynote, pages, so 18% just on those. I presume the phone was re-downloading the data.

I charged it again to full, this afternoon performance has been alot better, albeit less than day to day under iOS 7.

This is pretty impressive (and finally some good news, amidst what's been a very long week since the keynote).

Apple have the means and power to do literally anything they want. It's nice to seem them flexing that muscle..

*Ahem*

FIX THE UTTERLY PATHETIC LAG ON iPad 3! Yes, it's the iPad that never should of been, but it shouldn't be like this.

I tapped Safari, the icon darkened and it took three seconds before the opening animation even occurred. That was on a clean install.

I opened the mail app, which disappeared so I was starting at my wallpaper even after I force quit it 3 times.

I can type a good three sentences on an unresponsive keyboard before anything shows up.

Safari often freezes on a white screen when scrolling and switching tabs results in a white screen until the site pops up.

After I double click the home butter or use the four finger gesture there is about a 2 second delay before the app switcher activates and the animation is usually completely absent because of the lag.

I can deal with the Safari UI lag, but it is loading webpages noticeably slower. And every time I try to delete something from reading list I get "Bookmarks are synching".

What is good: Control Center is smoother to use, Notification center is easier to read, and they added some good wallpapers.

This is the first time I've been truly disappointed in an iOS update. And I was so looking forward to iOS 8. :(

I'd like tips to give me direct communication with Apple. Say:

1. I don't know how to do something. I ask a question, and someone messages my phone with an explanation (and not a link to a support page).

2. I have idea. They acknowledge it and ask any follow ups they see fit.

3. Bug reporting.

4. Intelligent notifications. Example: your phone schedule says you will be home at 9. Adjusting your brightness to level X will increase the likelihood of your iPhone making it all day.

Those aren't bugs though. They aren't looking for feature requests.

I would say that the removal of the cameral roll had to be a bug... ;)

Seriously, here's what I don't understand. If I can hide my photos, why can't I password protect that folder? Kind of useless, if you ask me. Plus, a hidden photo showed up in my Bursts folder, also.

Camera Roll + PhotoStream = Recently Added

This was not explained very well, thus the confusion. When iCloud Photo Library is out of beta, PhotoStream will no longer exist. All photos will be automatically uploaded and stored for cloud access on all of your devices (think unlimited PhotoStream).

iOS 8 working flawlessly (with motions and parallax activated) on iPad mini 1st gen and iPhone 4S. Can't wait to see it running on my iPhone 6. Thanks Apple.

If this is true, please fix the issue of configuring and unconfiguring family sharing locking people out for a year. I think there are quite a few of us affected and regular AppleCare cannot fix the issue. This has been reported in several discussion forums. First, there should be a way for AppleCare to reset this for good cause and also there should be warnings every time someone unconfigures Family sharing about how many times are left before being locked out. Just to make it easy for this warriors to find this posting, this is related to IOS 8 Family Sharing The error is: Cannot Start Family Sharing An account can start or join a Family group twice a year. This account will be able to use Family Sharing again in 364 days

How do you copy image urls in Safari in ios 8? If I long press on an image I get two options: save image and copy but when I select copy nothing happens.

Those aren't bugs though. They aren't looking for feature requests.

Here's a bug left over from IOS 7 and acknowledged by Apple as a bug in IOS7 that has still not been fixed.

IOS7 and IOS8 do not work with authenticated proxies. It can not remember the log/pass, so every single App that wants to get request ion, notifications, etc etc that uses the http proxy, well it will ask for your password, anything up to 30 times a day.

First thing I do when I get to work is turn wi-fi off and rely on Mobile Data.

No so bad for me, but our sight impaired staff find it a massive issue.

It's a design feature you don't like, still not a bug.

It's a goddamn bug. 3rd party apps that have not been updated can only see the Recently Added album, so you can't use any picture older than a month.
They have no option to use Moments. There is absolutely no access to every photo.

It is a bug.

EDIT: I misread, I thought it was about the Recently Added, not deleted.

Hopefully they are monitoring web sites like macrumors. But I doubt it because I've been posting about a bug in itunes since 10.7.0 and greater. Nothing has ever been addressed.

Battery Drain..

I've been along with others seeing pretty heavy battery drain. I have BG Refresh off so I don't know what's doing it. It's a substantial drain though. Near Android levels.

Not talking about notifications.

I am not talking about the notifications. I'm talking about the app itself. I want to hide it from the home screen, or completely get rid of it.

Why is it a problem for the sight impaired? I've got around 15% sight and can easily disable and enable wi-fi in seconds. VoiceOver is brill still. Although Zoom is having problems on iOS 8
