Apple Event Announced for September 9: 'Awe Dropping'

In 2007, Steve did this solo and live. In this presentation, he not only talked for half an hour about updates and Apple TV, but he also introduced the iPhone and did a bunch of live demos with this product that wasn't even ready to ship.
It was so exciting and fun!

Possibly, but maybe also the addition of a thermal sensor or something?
Maybe they should’ve held back “awe dropping” until next year when we get the official price for the folding iPhone at the 2026 announcement. Maybe “jaw dropping” would be better actually.

Hey, maybe they'll announce storage increases for the free 5GB iCloud tier? You know, the one that hasn't been upgraded since its inception over 14 years ago?
Who am I kidding, we're still under the Tim Cook regime, so nothing groundbreaking, unexpected nor exciting will be announced. If there are any increases it'll be the prices. 🥱

This event is but a shadow of its former self. Further diluted by the tens of thousands of "leaks" that precede this "awe dropping" spectacle, what remains is a demonstration that Apple continues to perfect smoke and mirrors hype. Google events pale in comparison.
Tim won’t do in person,..he’s too scared & really not a great public speaker. Every year is just a commercial now,..so boring.🥱
It really is. It absolutely surprises me that people are willing to go all the way there, just to watch a video on a screen.
Don’t they also get hands on time with the products as well? For creators like MKBHD, this is essential to pushing out your videos on day 1.
There's a hands-on area for those invited so for YouTubers at least it makes sense as they can generate channel revenue by recording a video showing the new iPhones.
Only way I awe-drop any money on them this year: None
