Everyone wants to get down on Gurman. Sure, he's not perfect, a full 24 hours off. But he is certainly the leading analyst in the entire tech sector, and probably across all sectors.

I had my iPhone 7+ until I upgraded to the 14 Pro Max. Not sure why people have to update every year or two. The devices now are so close in features despite the marginal speed bump. I guess keep with the Joneses.

For me it's better cameras. I could not care less what the Joneses are up to.

Brightly-colored non-Pro iPhones and maybe the odd lighting feature on one or more products. Glowing Apple logo as others have said, but not sure how that would affect thickness of the lid (I assume would unnecessarily increase it).

My guess is it’s on the 9th because the ABC Presidential Debate is on the 10th. Don’t want to compete with that news cycle.

And September 11th anniversary on...well...the 11th.

September has been iPhones, watches, anything music related and airpods, October’s “was” the iPads but it’s random, but usually Mac’s used to be in October also.

I only save up for the taxes on the device I want, I prefer to upgrade every 1.5 years than get one every year.

Yeah. No one would watch the Presidential Debate. I like how Apple was kind enough to move their event.
