With the price of everything else in this world going up crazily this past year, I was very happy to see the iPhone prices stay the same as last year, and with an improved product!

Don't want to sound very snobby - but these are casual timekillers and not games.

Games is stuff like Zelda, Last of Us, Starfield stuff. Stuff that's too intense to just play for 5 minutes while commuting.

I don't care if Apple makes more money - I don't need stuff like Candy Crush or Angry Birds....

Guess I'm going to save the planet for all you boys and girls, and buy the Apple Watch Ultra 2 + iPhone 15 Pro Max.

My Apple Watch Series 6 and iPhone 11 Pro Max is destroying our planet.

To those people not upgrading to these carbon neutral devices ..... HOW DARE YOU?

I figured the multi prisms that they demonstrated were the "periscope", but they didn't come out and say that.
That's what I thought too? Not sure why they held it to lower spec than other phones. There may be a genuine optical/physics reason?

Well - 3D video capture from iPhone 15 Pro Max is good.

Double Tap is really good and that was the "surprise" I guess. Pretty clever and cool feature.

If you are on a budget, you can wait - but I'll be upgrading all.
3D video — personally couldn't care less — subjective, I know.
They kinda already have that with accessibility and doesn't work well at all, perhaps it will with the most advanced AW EVER.

I'm not on a budget, but I'm also not in the habit of upgrading for the sake of upgrading. I might get the new AW Ultra, but only because I'm still using S6.

I don’t even know why people bother with the upgrade programme. It’s an absolute con. Better using a 0% credit card if you can’t buy outright.

Same as getting a car on those 3 year plans where at the end you trade it in for another new car or pay a large balloon final payment and keep it. Most just get another car, so they buy a car without actually ever owning it.

This is why they should really do an event every other year. They can’t make anything exciting enough for yearly announcements. Go back to “S” series upgrades and only do events on even years.
But they did presentations for S products as well. I remember the presentation for the 6S was a big event.

Why about those claims about thinner basels, smaller phone with bigger battery etc??? Periscop lens? They were quoting “well informed and respected Min Chin Kuo” and others and it was reposted hundred times. So basels are in fact not thinner?

Good news is that there will be 3rd party leather cases.
I love the leather case, especially from apple, mostly because it provides the best grip out of all the cases they provide but the woven one i have no idea what to expect.

$650 trade value from Apple on my 14PM… definitely not the $1000 lol
They specifically said the $1000 was from carriers. In fact I just looked and AT&T is offering $1000 trade in for a 14 Pro Max. My 13 Pro Max is eligible, but I’ll wait and see what they offer for the 15 Pro Max.

For action button, says default is still mute by holding. But can press to access one of the other options. So that means assuming one leaves their phone in mute 24/7, we can set press to camera and hold to bring up shortcuts (aka numerous then one click options including presumably mute? If so that's amazing.
I'd like to know if you can disable mute toggle while locked, so it can't accidentally change in your pocket

Yah - I have an Ultra - it's been good. Double bright display on Ultra 2 - I'll do that. Also will get new Pro Max. Been upgrading every year since the beginning of iPhone - no reason to stop doing that, and maybe it's enriched my life considering I do spend $1500 per year just for cell phone service.

The old joke is - I use my iPhone nearly every day!
