I checked the tech specs. They are exact same between 15 Pro and 14 Pro.

Well then - yes - you are right about the published specs.

I guess a newer one will be newer. I'll be upgrading from my 14 Pro Max for sure.

but I mainly want to start capturing 3D video and I always enjoy new. Waste of money? Oh well - life can be too short, so I upgrade every single time.

A lot of people on this forum complaining about the lack of progress in some of these phones, but when Apple reports their earnings for the first quarter that includes these new phones, they will have sold 70 million of them. Give or take. I’m not sure of these changes to the phones are always meant for owners of the previous model. I think there are plenty of people that still have phones that are many generations older, and those are the ones that they are really targeting. Sure, they will be happy if people with newer models upgrade, but I’m not sure it’s for the people who own the 14s.

Why about those claims about thinner basels, smaller phone with bigger battery etc??? Periscop lens? They were quoting “well informed and respected Min Chin Kuo” and others and it was reposted hundred times. So basels are in fact not thinner?

They also said the Apple Watch would be redesigned and have new straps with new attachment systems.

How is the battery not better with the 3nm chip? That's so weird lol. So the 15 is really a nothing burger with USB C being the main addition.

That sucks so much.

My current iPhone 11 Pro Max is a battery champion. It can last for multiple days still.

Looks like the iPhone 15 Pro Max might be a big downgrade in the battery department.

The rumours were saying that the iPhone 15 Pro Max would receive a big battery upgrade, how wrong they were.

A17 pro… The 1st taste of M3 Apple silicon has officially dropped. And every good rumour comes true, with extras thrown in. Like neural engine working with gpu to upscale and upres REAL TIME RAYTRACING FRAMES YESSSSS.

M3 is officially a banger.

Any M3 device is gonna be great for gaming. M3 Max and Ultra are finally gonna be great 3d rendering cpus.

Honestly, what a complete snooze-fest.

We've now had the S4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 watches with the exact same design and pretty much the same features (Always-on Display being the one upgrade that possibly adds value). Apparently the Ultra is also following the same path.

When it comes to iPhone, I'm getting sick and tired of seeing Apple present the same portrait style photos every year and positioning the iPhone as a "console level gaming platform"... Give us something new. Please. How about a desktop experience or something that really takes advantage of that "desktop-level chip"?

Hate to say it, but I think Apple needs an internal shake up. Judging by the intro, I'm also guessing Apple Vision Pro has been as poorly received as rumors made it out to be.

We will see, I think their sales will drop, it was pretty obvious all the talk of trade in values was to try and boost sales numbers. Money is pretty tight for lost of consumers in several markets these days. And older iPhones are solid enough to not need updating even 3 year old ones.

What an extremely dull presentation. One wonders why they go to the effort for such minor updates to already quite bland products. The only stand out announcement was that Apple have buckled to the Eurocrats and downgraded the port on their flagship product line. I personally wouldn't have headlined this with a video.

I get why they do this all pre-recorded now. They can dazzle and amaze with their fancy onscreen graphics and transitions, jumping from presenter to presenter making sure they get every possible diversity tick, a handful of superlatives and some keynote diagrams, etc. The spell kind of fades about an hour after you've watched it though, and your left wondering if they really did spend five minutes talking about the processor that was used in the previous iPhone Pro model.

The rumors are all pointing towards the Apple Watch X as the major change. It gives them another year to work on the supposed blood pressure monitor.

I agree completely. But even if they do drop, they are still going to sell between 50 million and 70 million phones. That’s a lot of phones.

Lightning is garbage compared to USB3 USBC. If youre going to keep a port on a phone, it needs to transfer files fast.

I agree but village and re4 remake is pretty console like gaming don’t you think?

Anyone know if the 28mm and 35mm 1x lens crops work in portrait mode? If not, these are just preset zoom ranges were already available on the 14 pro variable zoom.
