You notice that Apple announced M3, M3 Pro, M3 Max, but the MBP only uses Pro/Max, so there is another product coming in the event that uses M3.

You and many others probably missed it, but they sold the base 14” as only needing an M3, doesn’t come in space black, and is at least only $1599 instead of starting at, what, $1899?

I actually stopped taking my MBP with me (iPad Pro is enough for some media consumption, still cant get work done in it lol, iPadOS sucks *** comparted to MacOS). I'd love a 27" iMac to replace my MBP M1 and Thunderbolt Display.

It replaces the 13” MacBook Pro, but has 16/512, so yes, it’s not a bad price.

With the Mac Mini I would never buy an iMac. The ability to choose my own monitors without chins is way too nice to me. The iMac just isn’t worth it, IMO.

Has Apple always referred to the capabilities of the base products (iMac, 14 inch M3 MBP) as being for "exploring hobbies" vs the M3 Pro/Max MBPs being for Pros? Or are they using new marketing terms
