There is a logic to those guesses and I'll be curious if they're true.

I should mention that this website, and Apple forums in general, love to read the tea leaves about the Apple event logos but I've never seen follow-up comments dissecting whether the guesses were right or wrong. It's just a time-passing activity that has become a sort of tradition, but I'm quite sure if you look back, there are numerous events where the cool visual design ended up not being linked to anything announced at all.

I could literally fry an egg on my 15 PM.
I remember on the launch of iPhone 15 gens the display phones were unusual hot to the touch that I even said it to a worker and he made up crap like they were on charge over night that’s why, I wasn’t convinced.. then it was known to be an actually problem on the net.. I’m too good 😎.

"Vapor chamber cooling system" isn't a feature. This is something I shouldn't even know about as a consumer. Apple is implementing this because the iPhone gets too hot at times- as if every phone gets too hot.
Rest assured it will be very much marketed as a feature if it happens. I’m betting they will call it the “thermal engine”.

If a vapor chamber cooling system gets your motor running, then I guess this will be an amazing iPhone event for you. I owned every iPhone from the 4 to the 12PM, and I never once thought any of them were having heat issues. Apple really is running out of new and inventive ideas. SMH.

As a consumer, I want to know how it’s cooled. The A18 Pro gets damn toasty when the GPU and CPU is pushed hard as did the A17 Pro, so if I know it has a much better cooling solution this alone would be a big selling feature to me, as it would mean I can run demanding tasks or games without the bloody thing thermal throttling.

I'm one of those brave souls, and I even go caseless on my foldables and flipables. I can't stand having a case on my phones.

That is brave. I have kids, pets and I upgrade my phone every four years or so. Given my lifestyle and that time frame, I don't trust an iPhone to be durable enough without a case and screen protector.

That said, in recent years iPhones have gotten a lot more resistant to scrapes and falls.

I don’t game but mine gets quite warm whe using FaceTime for extended periods. Any cooling improvement is welcome.
I remember my trusty 6s warning me about imminent thermal shutdown, when i had longer sessions on Skype that time. I had the phone standing in an angle to watch and talk on Skype and when i took the phone after the warning it was that hot, it was difficult to handle by bare hands.

Yeah my wife and I don't have kids, but if we did I am sure going caseless would not be an option!

Am I the only one who thinks this logo looks like molten (aka liquid) glass? That seems like a much more direct link than “phone might have a new orange color.”

Nice call, i agree with the ops post. But i still feel there is a hidden missing cookie, like the rumoured liquid glass color.

I welcome any cooling bonus’s because I’m tired of the hot phone. Opening the photos app cooks my hand

Maybe one day I will be able to use my iPhone outside in the summer without the screen dimming to unreadable levels from overheating

I don’t have the new design but I wish we could ditch the camera bump entirely and get a chunkier phone that sits flush on a table
Remember when that was the norm?
Or ditch the camera bump for a slimmer phone.

Fair! I guess it’s just unfortunate that they were overheating in the first place.
