I only have a Twitter account so I can read comments on Tweets. I've never Tweeted in my life, other than Tweeting on work accounts.

Apple's Phil Schiller, responsible for Apple events and the App Store, has deactivated his Twitter account following recent developments on the platform.
Schiller often used his account to promote new Apple products, services, software, and initiatives and interact with customers. As noted on Twitter by Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, however, Schiller's account no longer exists. The account had over 200,000 followers and was created in November 2008 according to a web archive of the account dated November 4.
Yesterday, Twitter CEO Elon Musk announced that former President Trump's account would be reinstated on the platform following its suspension in January 2021. In a recent interview, Apple's CEO Tim Cook commented about the future of Twitter and the social media platform's relationship with Apple. During the interview, Cook said he remained hopeful Twitter would uphold its moderation standard under the new leadership.

No he hasn't. He's just responding to what the majority of american want. No exactly far left. Most people want women to have the right to choose. Most Americans want student debt relief. Most Americans want a national healthcare system. But really, what. most Americans want is our democracy protected. Which is under attack by the far right wing, fascist, MAGA movement. He's still a centrist, just responding to what the center wants.

I'm right behind him. I don't use Twitter much as it is but I don't want to be one more person on the platform. I think Musk is a childish, fevered ego and I don't want anything to do with the platform.
Twitter is an important tool in world societies, actually there are very different pillars/silos of Twitter. One is nearly instant communication with companies, Federal, State and Local governments, customer service, Educational and many other department/people . Another is real time news and events from around the world from locals, professionals and others. Then there is the Facebook like friends, family, hobbiy. photography groups plus much more. The porn which stays underground mostly. Then the political that has both real people/official campaigns. Then the stank cesspool of white supremacy, Troll bots government sponsored and private, international and domestic in all countries doing evil. It's actually far worse internationally than in US and Europe. If Musk could cut the cancer out, not likely given his chaos beliefs and personality and save the other pillars then that would benefit society.

Does that advice apply to all those begging for Socialism? You know, all the “get rid of student loan debt” and Feel the Bern folks too? There is no denying there are those who trust and desire a large centralized governing body, who detest a democratic republic. Those folks want socialism. And there are those in our congress who identify as socialist, members of the DNC, and millions of folks who support them. I’m willing to bet they use to term socialist as interchangeably as I do.

Please don't tell me you are saying he can't be racist because of his "black friends"... He called for the execution of the Central Park five for god's sake. He perpetuated the birther lies against Obama. He was and still is very racist. And many people who knew him would tell you so. It just wasn't talked about. Look at his tweets about "the squad" or his comments about "sh**-hole" countries and tell me he isn't racist. Or, ask almost any person of color in this country and they will give you a long list of examples. Acting like it was ok because it was in the past is just denying it. It wasn't ok then and it's not ok now.

No, what the left wants is more regulation on all those sucking money out of our pockets and destroying the environment while they do so. The rich and powerful have gamed the system so much that the only way to claw back any of the power of individuals is by forcing the haves to give back to the have nots. Democratic socialism isn't communism. It just gives the people more power over the means of production. In other words, it holds the rich accountable for their actions and in a very small way, tries to level the playing field. Take unions for example. All they are is the workers getting together to agree to back each other in negations with employers. The employers have lots of money, power, and lawyers. Individuals just trying to work an honest day's work can't compete with that without a union of employees to stand with. Same for the government. The government needs to ensure the environment is protected as it belongs to all, and regulations against poor anti worker business practices need to be enacted and enforced. Also, things like police, fire services, economic safety nets an yes a national healthcare system should be included in that. Just as you wouldn't want to depend on private fire departments to save your life or over charge you for doing so, you shouldn't have to rely on private healthcare systems to stay alive. Anyway, that's what the left wants. But there's a lot of money being flung around to brainwash the right wing base into thinking that's a bad thing. Hence all the misinformation and propaganda on the right.
