For all of Musk's goofy antics, the guy has done some impressive things. His contributions to the development and acceptance of electric vehicles is high on that list. By comparison, our friend Phil is a bit of a poseur.
Like what Elon is doing with Twitter, or don't (personally, I think the purchase was very ill-advised, but he didn't ask my advice), the notion that Musk is now an irredeemable person whose business must be cancelled because he won't cancel someone who the mob thinks should be cancelled is dangerous rubbish, in my opinion.
According to Gallup, Trump's last job approval rating was 34 percent. Per a recent PBS/Marist poll, 67 percent of independents don't want him to run in 2024. His unfavorability with Americans (53.9 percent) exceeds his favorability by 12.7 percent (FiveThirtyEight updated average). After the poor showing by many of the Trump-backed candidates in the recent election a solid case can be made that he is a rapidly diminishing political force. What could give him a boost? Efforts to suppress his freedom of expression (and that of other individuals, like Musk) that are viewed as unreasonable by independent Americans.

I think Trump has done his own damage as you've outlined ... party members are already and have been distancing themselves. This race is definitely to help stave off any legal proceedings he's very afraid of and should be.

Well, if you can’t see the parallels to the nazis before they came to power in the Republican Party of today, then I can’t help you. It’s obvious to anyone who looks at it for half a second. We are on that path. If we aren’t careful, we will end up with fascists taking over.
This is absolutely ridiculous on so many levels and again insulting to someone such as myself who had ancestors that died in the holocaust. There are absolutely no parallels and it is dramatic and to be blunt crazy to think there are.
And on another note, I am convinced that people say fascist without even knowing what it means.

Trust me, coming from a race of people that has in more than a few centuries faced genocide, hatred, and many of my ancestors history wiped out and even TODAY still hated in many nations across the world - like no other faith or religion has currently - and I mean this with the utter most respect to you and your ancestors (this is NOT me trying to say one has suffered more than another - we've ALL suffered some very gravely and greatly, my tears are for you and me, sincerely) ....
Nakedly standing in a crowd or a lineup. I'm black to anyone, even the untrained eye. Hatred to me and my race cannot be hidden from at any angle - sometimes on paper but not all of us. This from 5 feet away of oppressors, colonizers, racists and even worst to 500 ft away in clear sky, flat land unobstructed ... I'm still black in the open sun, butt-ass naked. at 60-100FT Plus many cannot tell any other race or similarities.

Not in the least this is NOT the only hatred, racism or pain the Jewish people have suffered in history. I'm hoping praying, pleading NOT for Treq ... but gently that you may see a possible trend the past few short years there possibly been something brewing that may echo the past before it got terribly evil and terrible pain. I don't know PERSONALLY if tue or not but I'm seeing something really wrong with humanity today and it's got me honestly frightened.
I fear my believe for every voice to be heard, and the most honorable, intellectual and sensible voices of reason and love drowns out the really negative, divisive and more so of hatred happens may be all for naught.
