While the number of people who died is high, not enough people have died to truly impact the no vaccine crowd. Once someone they love dies or gets seriously ill they may change their tune. Until then -‘Merica!

Does anyone else ever feel like the Information Age has created the dumbest population in history?

Let’s just hope the number of people refusing to get vaccinated is small enough that it doesn’t derail the larger plans overall.

Pure discrimination.
It's funny people wants to keep having all their rights while also giving a **** about other's rights by risking their health and life, and promoting the expansion of the disease (and new mutations that make actual vaccines less effective) just because you don't wanna get vaccined. We are witnessing the most entitled generations nowadays.

I am vaccinated and can’t wait for a tested and approved booster, but refuse to wear a mask in public and oppose vaccination and masking mandates vehemently.

Why? Because I LOVE when those people win Darwin Awards. I’m patient zero everywhere I go. I consider it an honor to help them lay in the bed that they have made with their own hands.

Pure discrimination.

not all discrimination is bad

if one cannot be vaccinated for a legitimate health reason that’s one thing

but if one just refuses to do the right thing for others around them because “freedom” or some conspiracy nonsense then they should be discriminated against

There are so many states where it is illegal to transmit HIV (even with disclosures) why don’t we do the same for COVID? [sure HIV people are gross & COVID people are innocent-really?]

Whatever happened to “They are a private company and can make their own policy?”

Or this one doesn’t fit your narrative this time?

What?

Judging by your response it appears you don't understand the meaning of my narrative, as Apple would be making their own policy with a mandate: "Mandate. Easy. Don’t like the policy, find another job."

Am I getting it right that putting others in danger is American? I wonder what a court would say if a non vaccinated and infected person willfully went to work and as a result effected others resulting in death or side effects like loss of smell and fatigue.
Uh can’t vaccinated people carry and spread the virus as well?

Yes, just like flu virus. The whole ******** point is the virus no longer causes serious illness or death, and we don’t see people busy burying Covid death like in India.

Even aside from how I find it kinda gross to shrug at other people's deaths, this doesn't just affect those who are unvaccinated, in part because the spread and creation of variants hurts even the vaccinated, and because overwhelmed hospitals lead to awful cases like this:

If the facts were clear and not obfuscated by terrible data collection and false statements, there would be no resistance.
Oh, so we’re going to continue pretending vaccine resistance has something to do with science? Why can’t people at least just be honest and say “I’m refusing to be vaccinated because it’s inconsistent with my politics”? I’d appreciate at least dropping the pretense.

It is every individual's choice whether to get vaccinated or not. As far as I am aware, no country has made it mandatory yet?

If your boss decides (and can legally) to enforce vaccination of their employees - quit your job and find one that doesn't mandate it.

If your bank / some other shop doesn't let you into their store without vaccination - find another store to spend your money.

It's simple. Just like the fact that most people who die from COVID now are un-vaccinated people. Simple facts.

Your choice.

Personally - my boss has just offered everyone who gets vaccinated $100.

Reasonable position to take IMO.

t. Vaccinated

We are asking off a cliff with mandates and access controls. Think beyond pandemic....

To accept vaccination is like keeping to the speed limits when driving. It is safer for yourself as well as others. We are expected to keep the speed limits by law so a law demanding obligatory vaccination is not so far off. Of course, people with documented adverse effects are exempt.
I support vaccines, but your comparison to speed limits is not supported by the evidence. Speed limits are typically set artificially low to increase the revenues of local municipalities (speeding tickets) and insurance companies (higher premiums for drivers with infractions). "Safety" is the mantra used in obtaining public approval or acquiescence. The German Autobahn has no speed limit in many areas, yet Germany has a much lower per capita injury and fatality rate than the U.S. The "safety" myth is perpetuated because cops will check the "Speed was a factor" on accident reports in EVERY accident where someone exceeded the speed limit, regardless of whether that had anything to do with the accident.

Maybe Germans are just better drivers.

I have been vaccinated since decades, refreshing about 4-5 vaccines every decade.

But i don't take the Covid-19 medications (technically they are no vaccines, because there is no virus presented to the immune system, just a little fragment), because i simply don't trust the underlying system yet.

Conventionally made vaccines that have been used didn't show this huge ammount of severe and deadly outcomes if the vaccinated person gets in contact with the virus. I read that daily in the news that though people got double vaccinated, they still get infected and some of them die.

And i see that the outcome is not that much related to the virus, but to the given treatment. It's the same virus everywhere, though there is significant difference who dies and who not depending on their location.

In my federal state in 19 months only 4 people below 60 died and zero below 50. Other federal states have from zero to 400 in these age groups. As i wouldn't call the people in my state any healthier than in others, the reasons for death numbers must be to find in the treatments.

I am also afraid of attempts to vaccinate children below 18, because getting in contact with respiratory viruses is more or less the only driver for building up an intact immune system.

If those children get vaccinated, it might be that their life expectancy is getting lowered dramatically. It's simply a bad idea to vaccinate against respiratory viruses. It makes a lot of sense against things like measles and such things.

For myself i see a bigger personal risk by taking the new mRNA or vector medications. I would take a conventional vaccine, but there is none available yet, they said maybe in December.

What scares me a lot is the grotesque stupidity in the discussion about this virus. We have seen (and honestly known before) that masks and lockdowns do not have significant impact on the outcome of the epidemic.

In my country we had better outcome during the months without masks and lockdowns. This year, we have all this plus the vaccinations, but we see higher infection numbers despite the fact that the "flu season" hasn't even arrived.

People don't want to see this and like religious fundamentalists they praise the vaccines, even it is obvious there is no advantage visible. All countries who lead the vaccination numbers have worse outcome than the year before, and the peak of the respiratory season is yet to come.

The idea of booster vaccinations every 6 month is completely insane. It clearly shows that there isn't any advantage over placebo and quite frankly, you can't give people two to three vaccinations yearly for years. It's killing people if you do that and it weakens the immune system.

People seem to be in a mass psychosis.

Yes but vaccination put a damper on the frequancy of the following infections. For example if 9 of 10 (90%) gets COVID in unvaccinated population, this figure will perhaps be 1 in 5 (20%) for the vaccinated population. Need to look up the exact figures but I think you got the principle. It follows the same logic a herd immunity. Vaccination is the artificially and quick way to reach herd immunity. So if all are vaccinated, the impact of a COVID-19 positive person (irrespective of vaccine status) on the workplace will be less.

Furthermore, for the individual, there is much less risk of severe effects of COVID-19 when vaccinated even against the delta variant.
