Mark is almost always right with his claims not sure when he’s been wrong honestly. To those who like the air, get hyped for tomorrow.
😂 Really? This was posted less than 30 minutes ago.

In January, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman said the new entry-level iPad would be equipped with an A17 Pro chip, enabling Apple Intelligence on the device:

The new entry-level iPads — J481 and J482 — will get faster processors and Apple Intelligence. The current models have the A14 chip and 4 gigabytes of memory. Look for the new versions to have the A17 Pro chip, matching the iPad mini, and a bump to 8 gigabytes of memory. That’s the minimum needed to support the new AI platform.
This rumor proved to be wrong.

Gurman initially said the new MacBook Air would be announced "earlier" than the iPhone 16e and new iPad Air, but that information was evidently wrong.

This seems written to downplay the accuracy failure of Gurman, instead blaming it on "that information".
It would make more sense to simply state that Gurman was wrong.

MacRumors should consider having a tracker – similar to the buyers guide – with a colour-coded indicator to show how 'reputable' a rumour monger has been in the past.

I wonder how long until we have "AirTags" and "AirTags Pro"

Matter of interpretation I guess. I read it as "that information Gurman gave us was wrong", not the information he based his prediction on.

AppleTrack used to do that, but they seem to have stopped around 2022-2023.

Typical Mark. Throw it all at the wall and hope something sticks.
Should MR really pay so much attention to him and his claims/guesses?
even a broken clock is right twice a day.
i know this a rumors site but should we trust this at this point? been wrong about so many things lately.
"Rumours" - the key word to understand Gurman. Not notices carved in stone, official notes or announcements. Things can change internally, sources can be mislead or just lying. Rumours, just that.

What actually surprised me was that they announced the M3 iPad Air before the M4 MacBook Air.
I think it makes sense though. The M3-chip for the iPad Air would have been a (bigger) disappointment if it was announced after the MBA with M4.

Now why couldn't all 4 of these products be an apple event with the headliner being the iPhone 16e?

Does Apple only do Apple Events for iPhones and WWDC now?
They haven’t got much to show to be honest. They could have make an event updating all their computers at once and next to it the whole iPad lineup. Something serious hardware companies do once a year or when new chips/tech comes available.
