Apple Expected to Replace Notch With Pill-and-Hole on All iPhone 15 Models

Unfortunately Apples iPhone upgrades have become far and few in between. With all the patents Apple holds for new technology it’s strange only a micro amount see day of light in the iPhone
Yes there’s always a new chip and better camera but Apple fans want more

Don't gloss over the software side. iOS keeps improving year after year.

Face ID is currently the superior tech for facial recognition. It is not yet under the display because the integrity is compromised. Once they master it, the world changes. Suddenly the potential exists for any screen you look at could be covering hidden facial recognition technology. Hidden. Big opportunity for marketers... and scammers.

Honestly, I'd rather have Touch ID. I'm not holding out hope for under-screen Touch ID though. Failing that, under screen Face ID would be a decent consolation prize.

Just make one elongated pill ffs

Yeah, I see the benefits of the pill + hole over the notch, but I do wonder what the benefit of a pill + hole over an elongated pill is though.

Wish I got a penny for all the time and effort spent on this. If it weren't all the articles and complaints I probably wouldn't even remember there is a notch. I watch videos all the time and never notice it

Actually, I'm one of the few people left who want a bezel. I hate the no bezel look, since my thumb will always cover a part of the screen when I hold a no bezel phone.

Learn from Aesop's fable about the Man, the Boy and the Donkey. Try to please all, you end up pleasing none.

Apple can make a phone with hole punch beneath a notch and bezel, folks will still buy it. That's how Steve would have done it. Not the 3 in 1 monstrosity?, but he wouldn't listen to the critism. He'd be my way or the highway.?

I’m waiting for the iPhone 15 Pro Max. Then I will wait until the 18 or later I see no reason for myself to upgrade every year or two I think every three years is the sweet spot

This is a non-upgrade they are selling us as an upgrade.

There is no practical reason this pill is better than the notch.

I generally upgrade every 4 years. SoC performance hasn't been an issue but I do appreciate the camera upgrades (and brand new battery) that a new iPhone offers.
