Apple Expo Paris Booth

Apple has been all disappointment this year.
I just can't believe another huge conference and no announcements of new products and "REAL" updates for Powermacs and PowerBooks.
Very sad.
Too much emphasis on the ipod. They forgot about their professional computer line ups. Come on! this must be a joke. :mad:
 
POWERBOOKS ARE COMING TOMORROW

I ordered a Refurb 15" powerbook this morning, after nothing was releasedin Paris.... it said all morning the book would ship today... then all of a sudden it just changed. It now states that the Powerbook will ship on Thursday or before.
So... will we see powerbooks tomorrow? Does this explain the black cloth?
Personally... I think so.

lol they just made a new banner for them too make them look new...i would say i was disapointed BUT i just bought a new PB about 3 months ago so I'm not really disapointed...I now have a date to save up for so I can buy my Intel PowerMac :D

Behind the black cloth was just a .Mac banner. But I certainly hope for an update tomorrow. I will wait until next Tuesday and if nothing has been announced by then, I will place my order for a 15" PB.

or it just means that for some reason your powerbook wont be shipped as soon as it was originally going to

You ordered a refurb... THey have NOTHING to do with new ones coming out..
 
true.. it is a refurb... however... will there be price difference? could this have ANYTHING to do with a new powerbook comming?

honestly.... it's weird that there's allot of talk about a new Powerbook coming this week. I realize a refurb product is used and so forth... however... it's kinda weird considering all these rumors of a possible powerbook coming... some say this week, other take it back and say Dec. All day the site indicated it would ship today... now the book will not ship for two days.

I just find it strange, could be nothing. We'll see.
 
There will be NOTHING NEW released this week or the next. Apple site's shipping times are always a sure bet of old stock getting cleared, new to come. Status has remained "24 hours" and will continue to do so for days to come.

If something new were to have been released this week, you would've seen shipping time stretched out already on apple.com.

Nothing's happened, and nothing will. Go apple for another exciting round of innovation.

Ditto...reaaaaaaaaaaaally exciting...I really don't understand how people still believe there is gonna be an update...IT'S NOT GONNA HAPPEN anytime soon, neither this week nor the next...buy whatever you need now and forget about exciting new stuff.

Yawnnn...I gotta sleep now...
 
I have been holding out on a new PB 17" since before WWDC....I am so pissed...they better have a new PB speedbump...or might as well switch back to Windows....I mean WTF has happened to Apple? And I don't want to wait till next year to have a first REV. INTEL pos PB....sheeze I need a new lappie. PLEASE be a PB update.
 
i am 99% sure they will update before christmas. i am reaaaaally hoping it is within the next few weeks. some people say tomorrow but that seems doubtful. i am thinking around early october.

Do you remember the last time that Apple had so many new cool products that they had a random selection of them on the front page, so that each time you visited it would show you another one of their new or updated products. It does indeed seem that the company has plateaued - still making nice iPods and occasional software updates (though these all seem to happen in January nowadays), but I just get this feeling of entropy seeping into their hardware lineup.
Still hopeful that the intel revisions bring about some really kickass hardware - my PB will be 3, so I might just be able to justify a new one. Maybe.

At this point with alll our hopes up, I don't see anyone justifying a 12' powerbook at $1399 over an ibook for $949 (edu prices, similar featuers, but I want to be able to plug my laptop into a 20' display), but I don't want an ibook I want a powerboook! I'd just like to see some sort of update! The only solice I take is the $150 off when I sell the free iPod, but I'd sure like to see a new screen on the 12', ultra brite!!! They loook too good compared to the current LCD's.

Seems like Apple is forgetting its core products while focusing more on the iPod.... a PB update of any kind would make my decion alot easier, reguardless if it is before or after the ipod promo ends.
