now, is it me, or is the text in the buttons on the menu bar on apple.com a little different then I remember? I noticed first about an hour ago. I dunno.

edit: more in the sub-menu than the 'store, iTunes, .mac' buttons

If the new 15" come out at the keynote, I will be an official SWITCHER !!!!!!!

Yay for me and my very first Mac !!!! :D

(i know this post is meaningless, but i'm that excited to finally switch!)

To the contrary (au contraire). Your admitdedly silly post is the central purpose of Apple Computer Inc. these days. You sir, represent their strongest success example.

Wacky eh? :)

RE: New Layout in Apple Store Canada

I'm reading new graphics in the AppleStore layout for the Apple Canada web site ---
http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPLE/WebObjects/canadastore/

Can't pick out the difference by eye because I haven't looked since a couple of days ago, but I think maybe the font has changed and I can guarantee that the mistake in the imac/eMac title line didn't used to be there (follow the link above and you'll see that the graphics don't line up right).

Been this way for 4 days

The most telling thing from those photos of the expo is that all the portables are covered and guarded... at the least, we're getting *something* on that front....

I'm prepared to be surprised... but in what way? who knows. There were no 'leaks' this time around....

It would fall rather flat if it was simply a minor speed-bump and "aluminization" of the 15"... no, my gut (and my hope!) tells me something else more spectacular is in the works....

Apple has declared the European market a high priority... so to unveil major news there would follow that....

the time is ripe........ ooh, la la! only 90 minutes to go! :)

For the record, Apple WOULD wait this long for just a minor G4 update... or even longer than Apple Expo. They would... if they HAD to. And thanks to Motorola, that may be true.

I do expect new PowerBooks, and I think they'll be great choices. I do NOT expect anything spectacular--except that I'm still very excited about Panther!

I'd love a G5 PB but getting my hopes up would be pointless.

(And realize that even minor updates would still be hidden by black, if they are to be announced by Steve.)

Man I hope you are correct. I've been driving my wife nuts! She wants somthing special more than I do now. Just to shut me up. And I think she will pay wich is even better!!!

well, like nagromme said (wisely), we shouldn't pointlessly get our hopes up too high...

preventing "dashed hopes, even on good news" syndrome....

Still it's obvious that at least something new is under wraps there...

I've been waiting to see how the new 15" evolves (" 12" is too small, 17" is too big, the 15" is ju-ust right..." -- a modern day Goldilocks?) to decide on going with that, or grabbing a (last remaining?) TiBook... the graphics card will decide a lot of that for me (heard the Nvidia card is lacking)...

...but, well, knowing myself, once I see the new ones, I'm probably done for... :)

How could we get our hopes up too high? a dual 2ghz PowerBook is a shoo-in :p
