How is Fitness+ different than just watching YouTube videos of workout classes?
If you are not using paid workouts now, you have no idea how much you are missing out on. YouTube is good, but paid works are just better in many ways.
How is Fitness+ different than just watching YouTube videos of workout classes?
im getting old ..... I was thinking to do Peloton, but their subscription is expensive.... not to mention their bike. Maybe I’ll give it a try to fitness +
I have used Beachbody and Les Mills for years, there is lots of excellent premium content out there for working out at home.I am certainly capable of exercise, despite being over 50, out of shape and having a bad knee, but I want to go with programs curated by experts for certain categories of experience and fitness levels. Apple seems to be offering this.
I’ll find out soon enough.
Going out trying to cobble together something from YouTube was a disaster.
I'd just like to say: Peloton is f@$d.
Peloton is $30/month plus the cost of a very expensive, overpriced treadmill whose only price is justified by the display mounted to it and the associated classes.
Fitness+ is only $9.99 and works with an iPad or any existing TV with tv and also works with dozens of other workouts, not just running — and it's included in Apple One for even less than that (essentially free with other services).
Peloton has a head start by the installed base of treadmill owners but anybody thinking of getting into smart fitness at home will think twice about spending thousands of dollars on this premium treadmill when they can instead use their Apple Watch.
I think we'll see a community build up around Fitness+ as it gets going. You'll be able to challenge your friends and join classes simultaneously.
I don't think anybody knows for sure, but I would assume you could still use the videos just without the live feedback on the screen. Here's what I'm confused about with Fitness+....
I have an Apple Watch. My wife has a Fitbit. Can she use the Fitness+ app on the Apple TV to do yoga? Or am I the only person who will be allowed to use the Fitness+ service?
Great job! I think some of us went the other direction, but to lose that much is incredible. As someone who has managed to go from 210 pounds down to 168 in lockdown using the Apple Watch for a lot of support and motivation I like the idea of fitness+ to add more to the mix both in terms of exercise to get involved in and additional tracking and motivation.
I know a lot of people question why pay for this over watching Youtube and so on but you are not going to get that integrated experience that carries through on your overall fitness program.
I will certainly be trying it out.
Yeah, either that or “What’s up, guys?”But will it start out with “Hey guys”?
Price is right (at least with the annual sub), and yeah, an absolute steal as you say, if you’ve got 2-6 family members participating.
Probably still recovering from the SE2020+ screen protector fiasco. For real, they probably won't start sales until Friday. Is Apple the only site doing preorders?Exactly! I couldn’t find the Watch available on their website at all!

Yes when I just did the treadmill at the gym every other day. I didn't lose any noticeable weight, but I definitely was much better cardio wise. I almost died going the littlest bit on speed 1 in the beginning, and in the end, my legs would start hurting before I would even feel slightly winded.Good job!
Unfortunately most people equate ‘getting fit’ to ‘getting ripped’ and they’re not the same at all. You don’t have to look like the rock to be fit and healthy....
Wow I was thinking this exact thing as I read the previous post. Would be nice to have at least two show.I wonder how this will treat multiple people working out at the same time. If my wife and I work out together. I assume it will only show stats for the person that started the workout. It would be nice to have the option of showing stats for 2 people on screen.
Good job!

You could register to US App Store and read those books.
can somewhat understand copyrighted materials (movies, books, etc) as some countries actually have other companies being the official distributors
You aren't going to get fit by flailing you limbs in random directions, it takes more than that
Also it should be them jumping the hoops to sell me their sh*t, not me trying to buy it. Until then, too bad for them.
I don't live in your covid soaked country, mate. My country locked down enough to get rid of it (barring a few outbreaks, which are then appropriately contained and isolated). We are now free to safely go about our business and fun more or less at will. It's a shame every other country didn't do the same, or we'd all be more or less back to normal by now, and travelling the world again, sigh. Why are you comparing the value proposition of access to covid-soaked gym equipment to fitness videos?
Not sure about Apple, but some services will geo-lock you even if you have a US account.I understand that and you’re right of course but you could have accesses to those books and much more (think all Apple TV US channel, News(+)) today. Any US address will do. Just search the Internet. and I’m sure any country will have someone selling iTunes gift card.
