Hes looking for the ability I am looking for.

My wife and I work out at the same time and it would be great to have the apple TV recognize both of our watches and show our stats on either side of the screen. Her apple ID is part of my family sharing so I hope this functionality is coming soon.
it seems to suggest on apple website this can be done as long as you have a series 3 or better.

Actually, the Watch is the gate, iOS/iPadOS/tvOS just come with it. The watch has all the sensors need to make it work.
I’m pretty sure someone could get the benefits of the workouts on an appletv, iPad, or whatever without having the watch.

Yeah, the watch adds to the experience but the watch isn’t necessary to follow the videos any more than it‘s required to exercise in general.

Anyone whether there is Airplay support in the app? My TV has Airplay2 capability but I don't have an Apple TV.
According to Matthew Moniz's video comments section, you would NOT be able to use Airplay 2 capability built-in to your TV. There is an "Airplay" button in the app, but only Apple TVs show up as an option. Probably because of the connection requirements with the Apple Watch. Hopefully in the future, Airplay capability to any Airplay capable device gets added - I'm definitely disappointed with this lack of functionality.

Makes sense, I suppose. I will use my Lightning to HDMI adapter. Thanks.

And based on the price of the wheels for the Mac Pro, the AirPods Pro and the monitor stand, I shudder to imagine what they will charge for them. It will make peloton etc look like a bargain basement product. 🤣
I doubt it to be fair, Apple will hit you hard where they have no competition or you are device locked within their eco-system, but where they are chasing someone like Peleton whatever they come out with will be priced at the same level or lower.

As an overweight gay man, I think exercise is overrated. We should change the notion that toned bodies are attractive. I'm sick and tired of not receiving compliments (your mom does not count!).
So you’re telling me that all of us that put in the work to stay in shape and improve our bodies need to just quit to make you feel more comfortable? That sounds quite selfish on your behalf, asking the whole world to change for you.

Instead, work on improving yourself. It’ll make you happier and improve your quality of life.

They are out there. My wife bought this one on Amazon and out of the box the paper work makes it clear that you NEED the subscription for it to work but it's a straight up lie. The reviews on Amazon say the same thing.
It looks good, but its panel is still to big for what I want. I just need a stability bar with speed and elevation controls. I don’t need a screen or fans or a book/tablet mount. I want it to feel open when I walk or run.

14.3 is out. I've got the Fitness+ on my iPhone now. I also upgraded my iPad but can't find the app anywhere, so I'm curious as to how that works.

I won't be able to get my workout in until probably 5 hours from now (still working) but I'm looking forward to trying it out tonight.

I'm in the same boat re: the iPad. The link on the Fitness+ website takes me to the listing for the phone app which isn't compatible with my iPad (10.5" Pro).

At 10 bucks a month Much better alternative to peloton which is absurd.

My wife swears by the Peloton and the app. I asked her if she'd try out Fitness+ and she didn't even consider it (she owns a Apple Watch too). She's an avid user of the bike and the app, so she doesn't mind the subscription fee. Though I think the monthly subscription price is totally absurd as well, but Peloton has it's legion of dedicated followers.

I think I am going to stick with my Peloton. But if I did not have one, Apple Fitness+ would be an option for sure.

Save money and buy an alternative bike. The BowFlex and Schwinn are great, and your cadience and heart rate show up on the iPad. The main reason I would not buy the Peloton is the high monthly charge.
I have an IC4...

Same here. I managed to get to a page on the iPad app store which listed an iPad Activity app but said (at the top) something like “This app requires features not available on this iPad”. As this was on a 2018 iPad Pro seems something must be wrong to me...

Same. Here's the link, by the way https://apps.apple.com/us/app/fitness/id1208224953

There are a few of us grumbling about it on Twitter right now. Let's hope it's just a bug.

12.9 inch iPad Pro (2020) with iOS 14.3 - So, what’s the deal? This isn’t gonna work if I have to use my iPhone.

Anyone else having issues getting it to work on their Apple TV? I keep getting "Pairing Canceled" when trying to sign in.
