It's most likely rogue employee(s), likely following the "resistance" calls by the opposition.

I would hope that Apple finds out and explains who did it and that they were fired.

That's clearly the case, but Trump doesn't care about details.

Who knows if it's just one or two or multiple employees. But that $500B investment would be tainted if Apple spokesperson alluded to anything intentional by Apple employees.

What's really strange is Apple spokesperson lying. I understand it's to save Apple, but it's such a bold faced lie.

Nah, my butt's nice and peaceful at the moment! (Who's to say how it goes tonight YA KNOW WHAT I MEAN). My country's in a state of unfurling fascism though, so I'm glad to see someone take a lil' stand.

This is taking a stand? Standards are extremely low if "taking a stand" is an anonymous person putting something into dictation that 99% of the people will never see.

American politics are just embarrassing all around .....left and right.

Now the world needs to deal with Americas dumb little protests in the code.

Business go bankrupt, and I suspect MANY will do so in the next four years courtesy of the recession this unhinged joke of a president will cause.

We were in a recession with the last administration until they changed with the definition of a recession is. The most widely accepted definition of a recession is "a decline in two consecutive quarters in GDP." We absolutely had that and then the last administration said "No, we don't want to go by that definition" so there apparently wasn't a recession.

That’s not great is it

And this is a story on AI posted by a macrumors bot??

What a world, what a world

Amazing how blind people are isn’t it!? We’ve been in a mild recession since 2022.

I don’t know how people can’t see this with the amount of layoffs (especially in tech) and massive inflation of at least 20% on all essentials from food to housing. Housing is up 50% in some cases. It’s not sustainable!

The “official” numbers have been BS and fudged for a loooong time .

Yep. The actual definition is weak/drop in GDP AND strong rise in unemployment. The unemployment is an important metric to tell the context of people losing their jobs. It’s not so much as moving goalposts but understanding the goalpost is not only “this big” but also “that big”.

The layoffs can probably account for the edging towards 4%. But we’re nowhere near the spike to 6% from 2020 going into 2021.
