Things are getting a little creepy with these t-shirts! Someone tried to sell theirs online but got zero offers because an image of a person started to appear! The owner said the more it was washed the clearer the image became!

while apple isn't expected to give out anything for christmas to it's employees, i do have to say that it's amusing to see what were once amazing gifts dwindling down to cheap t-shirts.

also the t-shirt doesn't remind me of apple at all. it's just a weird, dark coloured t-shirt that is extremely generic. it feels very... cold. zero effort sort of thing.

"this is where we employ thousands of people. you are not a name, but a location listed on a shirt."

Meanwhile, Eddy Cue can be found cashing his holiday bonus check and buying yet another Ferrari somewhere, as if the man doesn't have enough of them already.
Eddy for one drives his 12th Ferrari because he loves them.
Angela drives hers because there is just nothing in her muff boutiques where she can spend her 25 mio yearly on...

Don't think if I was an employee that I would be enthusiastic about a company t-shirt and a group think card that could have come from an employee indoctrination course (think little Red Book or The Green Book, etc.)

Only thing worse is if the shirt were a handkerchief and the card were laminated and pocket-size.

Basically someone has co-opted the traditional holiday demonstration of gratitude to turn it into a company self-congratulatory promotion turning on an advertising t-shirt and an employee reminder of the company mission statement.

As shareholders, my siblings and I are rather disgusted by this.

We thought AirPods would be both a great gift and a great advertisement of the company's generosity and a great advertisement.

I was musing that an AirPods gift would hit the bottom line for 30 million until my sister (an artist, no less) said "you calculated with retail price, not manufacturing cost". (LoL.) So then its 20M$ for a bunch of happy employees and a lot of positive buzz.

Instead, I can't imagine another "gift" with better potential for making employees feel less motivated and possibly even insulted.

The holidays seem like the perfect time to bring people together in a company cultural sense. As a shareholder I understand why it was done. But if the gist of this is go big or go home, I can't see it happening. I don't know apples bonus structure so I can't comment if this was in lieu or in addition to cash.

I cannot believe the "denial" in which Apple is acting these days. I am not really sure, what this T-shirt or credo should do? I am a great Apple supporter and customer since 1997, but with Job's death, this has steadily declined. The credo of "Integrated" and "not good enough" are subjects of a distant path... Most everything they release, from Interface Design to Software Quality is just utter ...

....and it's still more than I get from my company!
Do you work for a near Trillion Dollar company?

I have worked for small companies who gave out great Christmas gifts. You would expect a company the size of Apple to be a bit more generous than a tshirt and a piece of card. It would have been less offensive to have given nothing.

Since when was half-a-trillion consisted 'near-trillion'?

Since before the last few years...
Am I missing something...

Well, the t-shirt is definitely nothing to write home about, but the company "credo" is absolutely creepy. Was that written by L. Ron Hubbard?

Apple, you are not on a holy mission; you are not a teacher of wisdom; you are not our savior.

You are a global corporation driven by market share and profit. Like all other corporations, you use exploitation and propaganda to achieve your ends.

So stop taking yourself so seriously. Nobody else does...

I've worked in retail before and I generally didn't get much during Christmas, but Apple has prided themselves as a company thinking different. I think the printed copy seems a bit pretentious and arrogant, and the t-shirt is a bit cheap.

I'd rather not get anything then a cheap t-shirt, because they get t-shirts anyways for their job.

This Apple credo is simply marketing nonsense for employees. "look! we are so unique! we're the best" blah blah... those times are simply over without Steve Jobs. Just take a look at their current products - that says it all (worst MacBook, Software QS is going down)... but hey, drink our Apple kool-aid... What Apple really needs? New young people in Leadership which "thinks different" - like Microsoft is already doing a lot. Microsoft has done a 180-degree turn compared to their ugly past in the 90ies or with Steve Ballmer as CEO. Microsoft learns and explores in new ways while Apple stays in the past repeating the same BS without really changing anything.
