Every December, Apple provides its retail employees around the world with a special holiday gift to thank them for their contributions to the company and to celebrate the holiday season.

For 2016, Apple is giving each employee a T-shirt and a printed copy of the company's credo. The t-shirt is gray in color and features two circles created from what appears to be a list of all of the company's retail locations around the world.

The credo is printed on a heavy card stock and comes in a protective envelope. Apple first introduced its new six-paragraph credo in August of 2016.

Apple's employee gift this year is somewhat less impressive than the gifts that have been handed out in past years. In 2015, employees were given a set of black and red urBeats headphones from the Beats by Dr. Dre product lineup and a nine-month Apple Music subscription.

In 2014, employees received an Apple-branded Incase backpack, and gifts in the years before that have included things like blankets, water bottles, hoodies, free apps, discounted iTunes gift cards, and more.

How about a bonus, do they get a bonus too or just a piece of paper with some words printed on it and a t-shirt they'll never wear unless mandated to by the company?

Bonus...never. Its unapple like to give bonus or incentives.

There was a question at an event in Cork where someone asked about having a Christmas bonus, and Cook stopped, looked and replied "money isn't everything" or something to that effect.

After 5 years at apple you get a framed bit of paper, after 10 years, the "crystal" lump. Thats about it as far as awards are concerned. Yes we have had blankets (for those days its so cold and we cant afford heating ;) and a water bottle a few years back)

"We redefine expectations."

From the company that ships 5400rpm drives with 4k screens, charges $300 for soldered RAM that only costs $60, and shipped 16gb iphones for almost 10 years while everyone was shipping 32gb.

All of this to reach record high profits to appease greedy investors while neglecting user experience.

Sorry I'm not inspired.

Tone deaf, patronizing, self-indulgent and somewhat arrogant. What most employees of most companies want around the holidays is a nice bonus to show appreciation. Not a two-bit, $2 t-shirt made by slave labor in China and a piece of crap printed propaganda piece.

Wow, it's going to take a lot for me to buy another Apple product. Totally tone deaf by Tim Cook, but when you're a billionaire you probably don't know what your lowest paid workers want.

I think the best bet is to hand this trashy swag out at random, and not before Christmas when you have given away such better gifts in the past. Have some class Apple. Or has class left the building....

We are here to enrich lives.
To help dreamers become doers,
to help passion expand human potential,
to do the best work of our lives.
But we simply can't be arsed to make a new Mac Pro
Lol they lack courage to update their trash can shaped computer.

A delicate fabric manufactured with the latest technologies that procure the perfect ergonomics and cooling to your body. The design, a reminiscence of the eternal shape of the circle, reminds us that we are a symbiotic team working in unity to achieve the highest standards. All of us are shaping the future of humanity. Here take this crappy t-shirt that you will use most probably to sleep or clean the floor.

Never underestimate the power of a comfortable t-shirt-to sleep-in. That's what my Boeing one is for.

Sort of looks like the birdseye view of an nMP exploding.

You're folding it wrong. Imploding. :p
