A T-Shirt and the company motto? LOL. Reminds me of the movie Office Space when Jennifer Aniston's character said she didn't want to talk about her pieces of "Flair" .

Wow. Seriously Apple? Way to share those Billions in profits with your employees.

Every December, Apple provides its retail employees around the world with a special holiday gift to thank them for their contributions to the company and to celebrate the holiday season.

For 2016, Apple is giving each employee a T-shirt and a printed copy of the company's credo. The t-shirt is gray in color and features two circles created from what appears to be a list of all of the company's retail locations around the world.

The credo is printed on a heavy card stock and comes in a protective envelope. Apple first introduced its new six-paragraph credo in August of 2016.

Apple's employee gift this year is somewhat less impressive than the gifts that have been handed out in past years. In 2015, employees were given a set of black and red urBeats headphones from the Beats by Dr. Dre product lineup and a nine-month Apple Music subscription.

In 2014, employees received an Apple-branded Incase backpack, and gifts in the years before that have included things like blankets, water bottles, hoodies, free apps, discounted iTunes gift cards, and more.

"We are here to enrich lives." Make that OUR lives. Kinda cheaping out the employees like they are starting to cheap customers by charging extra for things that used to be included

Tim: Hey guys, I know our employee engagement has gone down lately but I have a cure.
Johnny: and I helped design it
Tim: A new tshirt printed with our shop names
Johnny: Thinnest tshirt yet!!!
Tim: Shoosh. And a copy of our company platitude, i mean credo
Johnny: Thinnest cardboard ever! We had to pay the best of the cheap labour for this one.
Tim: This will make the difference... engaged employs perform better. Gallups sales pitch was very convincing with that story. Sure it cost more than the entire collection of tshirts, and we had to cut employee bonus to pay for it, but this survey will be the best thing ever!

Sometimes gifts are so bad you'd rather have none.

It is kind of mean spirited, that the employees who work incredibly hard all year become a card that needs to remind them what the apple spirit meant. After all, weren't it the employees who made the Apple spirit come to live?

Maybe the executives need that card as a reminder.

I took the liberty of changing a few of the word to help it really pop:

We are here to save mankind.

To help the lost become found,

to stop out-of-control trains and crashing planes,

to do the best work of our lives.

AT OUR BEST

We give more than we take.

From the home planet,

to the creature beside us.

We become a place to belong

where everyone is welcome.

Almost.

We draw strength from our crystals.

From Friday Night Lights

to collaboration and debate.

We are open?

We redefine expectations.

First for our dogs, then for the world.

Because we’re a little boring.

Because "good enough" is what it is.

Because what we do says what we do.

We find courage.

To try and to fly,

to learn and to fall,

to figure out what is love,

to imagine all the people,

to do it all over again if we lose the data.

AT OUR CORE

We believe our children are the future.

People who recognize themselves

have attained Level 3 Enlightenment.

People who shine a spotlight

have an important job.

People who work to leave this world better than they found it

Are the ones who get to return home.

I feel for Apple employees. I think this has to be one of the most horrible 'presents' ever. Did angela have input on this?

I guess I can be thankful that, although, I work part time for an international company, today I received a gift basket that retails on their site for $65. For the hundreds of reps we have, including shipping, this probably amounted to about a $30,000 expenditure for the company. To me, it's not really about the money, but the thought and feeling that went into presenting the gift. And it was a lot better than a t-Shirt.

I know that Tim doesn't read these forums, but he's got to get a reality check.........

With gifts it's the thought that counts. Or at least that's what we are all told from a very young age. So apparently they don't think all that much of their employees. $50 would have been a better gift.

Amazing the company is rolling in cash thanks to their employees. Jeez, the company's employee credo and a t shirt? They are getting very open with their greed and arrogance. You think Jony is excited about his new t shirt? No, probably his six digit bonus is a tad nicer.
Six digit?

Agree.
This is tone-deaf on the part of Cook.
I'd be demoralized if I had to work there.

Steve was known to give cheap ass gifts as well. Cutting free iPods etc was under his watch.

It may have to do with changes in gift laws that make them taxed as income in many states and several companies but yeah it's rather lame.

Well that sucks. Hope they get a decent bonus.

Retail has never gotten commissions or bonuses other than maybe managers
