there is NOTHING in the middle anymore with that company, trying to
in this days, apple makes a polish black iphone and sells it ONLY in 128, why?! why not give all the optins to every costumer???

Someone's forgotten, or never knew, about the black MacBook (Core Duo)...

If they can't put it in the display I'm all for it on the back like the pixel and likely the S8. But put it in the top corner opposite the camera. That is a more natural spot to reach than the middle.
I really dislike the fingerprint reader on the back. Used this on android phones.

Apple would never do that. Putting the fingerprint on the back is stupidity only reserved for Android devices.

No both implementations have their own pros and cons. When I pick up my phone my index finger touches the same place naturally where the sensor is located on the back. On the other hand I have to move my thumb to touch the sensor on the iPhone . OTOH you can unlock the phone placed in the table with the front implementation which is not possible with the back implementation

The Xiaomi Mi 5s came out last Fall with the Qualcomm ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, for one. See about 0:35 into this video:

Thanks for the video. But they certainly don't make it clear whether you touch
- the home button?
- a specific part of the screen (maybe hardwired, maybe variable, just as long as the SW knows where to expect the finger)? or
- anywhere on the screen?

Maybe the Chinese voice-over makes that more clear?

Oops, sorry if not clear. It's under the home button looking area molded beneath the screen.

I don't think the ultrasonic method is meant to be used within a display, but simply under a specific area. Its primary advantage is that the sensor is thus waterproof. Which goes nicely with the fact that it can read wet fingers, unlike most electrical sensors.

i wonder if Apple could place the fingerprint sensor in to the Apple logo at the back. Many Android phones are adopting the sensor at the back, and after a year of using a Nexus 5X i can assure you it is very conveniently placed.

All of this iphone junk has no real meaning for many of us. Without up to date replacement hardware for my 2007 iMac, my 2009 mini and my 2012 air, I will be leaving the apple ecosystem. Simple as that.

So... let me see if I get this: its now 2017, there are a couple of really nice iMacs available - albeit almost two years old, and if Apple doesn't release a new machine soon, that prevents you from upgrading your ten year old desktop hardware?

I remember a few years a go seeing an Apple patent on haptic feedback from the screen which could be customised e.g. mimic different shapes. I wonder if this would be utilised here to mimic the home button.

Not exactly what I said is it. I said i'd like notifications for the different sections. Your attempt at trying to be a smartarse has failed dramatically due to your inability to comprehend written text.

No, I just want the macOs system notifications to work for the individual sections of the site, rather than for every post made. Simple request really. Enjoy looking at photo parts.
