In the posters defense, this is not the first time I have heard about Apple employees saying this!

I manage a complaints handling team for a large company and our team respond to complaints made to the CEO. Therefore, when calling, they call/write on behalf of the CEO.

There's nothing fishy in an Apple employee calling on behalf of Tim - he's not going to read/answer all complaints made to him is he?! He has a company to run!

Lol, I would've had to have said:
"Really?? I had no idea Tim and the executive team work there at the call center with you!"

I mean, duh...
Obviously the executive team is working on getting the next two million produced as quickly as possible, the first two million on people's wrists, etc.
To consider that they climbed to one of the most sought after positions on the planet & Tim thought the best use of their time was to individually call customers that are concerned about their single Watch order being cancelled reeks of absurdity... that's not even a remotely convincing lie!

They have an "Executive Relations Team": those are the people who call you on behalf of the executive you wrote to.

I got an email from apple.uk after my request to Apple.fr, telling me that, sadly, they don't ship parcels to freight forwarding addresses anymore. They also told me that, if I provide a valid address it could be reinstated, and that in the mean time they were goint to send a request to the "order managment team".
However, my order has been reinstated silently (I suppose that may be cancelled again in a matter of hours or days, if I don't provide another valid address).

I haven't answered yet with a valid address though. Maybe they forget to cancel it again...

Order was canceld by apple to, but got a call from them yesterday and today saying the order is fine and will get it at launch ;)

You could just tell apple that you work for the freight forwarding company and you want your watch delivered to work as thats where you'll be.

Apple UK just called and reinstated my Borderlinx order from launch day.
Apparently they are backing on their decision to block shipment forwarding.
Happy going from June 1 to Delivery: 24/4–8/5 :D

This is a fair statement I think, although Steve Jobs would address some of them directly to people who emailed him from time to time. Regardless of what people thought about his responses, I always respected that about him.

I just called Apple, and I asked to speak with a senior advisor but that didn't changed anything, do you know who I should ask speaking to ?

YAY!!!

Just got a call from +35 something (I ordered from UK), some nice but a bit stressed guy with an Indian accent said that they want to make their customers happy and will reinstate all cancelled orders with forwarding services :D

I ordered on the French Apple Store but I still didn't got a call from Apple to reset my order (I used a freight forwarder because I live in Reunion Island, where Apple doesn't deliver even if we're in France).

Do you guys believe it's a decision for all Europe or only some specific countries ?
I called Apple but it didn't changed anything (they told me I have to order again), they didn't told me anything about these calls, they said they couldn't tell me anything about other orders when I said people all over Europe had their order rested.

Any idea ?

I also got the phone call (in Swedish - ordered from UK) that my order where reinstated to 24/4-8/5. Feels good, but I don't feel safe.

There seem to be no real take on this mather, because the guy in sweden I talked to said yesterday (after Apple phoned me that it was back on track) that all orders will be canceled again if the adress goes to companys like Borderlinx...

What to believe now?

It wont be cancelled. Apple sent me an email to specify payment details and they had no problem with forwarding. They've backed from the initial policy!

I also received an email from Apple. They will only reinstate my order if I give up a new non forwarding shipping address.

I also received the same email (after sending a request to apple.france). Although I haven't provided a new address yet, the order has silently been reinstated... Not sure how much time will last this way if I don't send them a valid address though... Because the girl from uk support told me that fordwarding addresses are not allowed

PS. To sum up: I want an Apple watch. I'm from Spain. I ordered it to France. It was cancelled. I wrote in english to contactus.fr@apple. I was answered by apple uk (??) asking to change the address. I didn't send them anything but It was reinstated silently.

I used a German forwarder (order at 9:05) - order still processing and no emails or calls from Apple. Maybe I'm just lucky?

Order is back on

My order was cancelled without me getting a notification, but received a call from Ireland yesterday informing me that the order was back on.

But is still getting June delivering date:(

Using mailbox.de.

Irish Order Canceled

Hi Guys,

Reading this for a bit, any irish orders using Parcel Motel just get canceled?

The people that got reinstated before, did you contact support or was it automatic?

Is this from the german support or ireland?

----------

It's not that simple. It's a certain kind of discrimination against other EU countries and that is certainly forbidden. It's the same with Germany planning a Autobahn fee only for foreigners. They had to change their plan and charge germans too.

Hardly discrimination. Apple have a clear roll out list of countries like with the iPhone.

Same thing here in Dubai

I ordered my watch on the 10th of April, and they cancelled my order in 15th of april.

No notification or email or anything sent to me to tell me it was cancelled or even why.

i find it very unusual and not professional.

Please guys tell me what you did to reinstate it and i used a farwarder company Viabox.com.

any help? thanks

Any news on this?

My order was reinstated silently the Friday, despite the fact they told me it won't unless I change the address.

Will it be cancelled again? I didn't get any call stating anything, just a mail apologizing for not being able to deliver my order.

(French Apple Online Store)

Apple Pay caused cancellation

I ordered 2 watches 4/10 using apple pay. The first is "preparing to ship" and had 4/24-5/8 date. The second was SS modern buckle and was "processing" until today (had mid May shipping estimate). Today they cancelled the order! Said to contact the bank. Third phone call they sent issue to the "team" that cancelled it. Told to wait 72 hours and don't expect anything. So wrong to process for 11 days and then do this!
