Well..

Had two orders on two different account, one cancelled, one not due to payment issues (wrong name, stupid me..). Order is cancelled, but i didn't get any notification or explanation at all.

Contacted German support and they add the cancelled Watch to my existing and active order. That was the only thing they could do. So i Didn't get back my original delivery time window (delivery before end of May) and one Watch was set back to delivery in June...

I also managed to get in contact with Apple Ireland!
They say they do their best to deliver the products as fasts as possible. I didnt get my original delivery time back. But they promised me that the Apple Online Store Executive Team is monitoring my order till it gets delivered! :cool:

That was earlier today.. i just checked my orderstatus: Now both my order are cancelled :eek: :(

I think this happens because of an automated cancellation program, that scans as soon an order has been updated. I mean they can't tell you something on the phone and change their minds as soon as you hang up.

I think you're right. But i've give them some time to contact me about it. I wonder if these orders are really 'under monitoring' or its just something they say..

I wouldn't trust that information, as they have too many orders to check. Just call the nr. back, who contacted you.
 
My order also got silently cancelled after a few days. Loyal long time customer who just ordered one watch from UK via Borderlinx. It's not even cheap in UK with todays exchange-rates.

Appreciate all of you doing your best to get Apple to reinstate, keep us updated on your progress. Good luck everyone!
 
I actually live in Czech Republic but work in the UK a lot and still have UK address and debit card so fingers crossed.

If you have a "standard" mailing address and a UK card, you can safely uncross your fingers.

Apple just called me and let me know that my Borderlinx order has been reinstated. Apparently several other people are reporting the same here in Sweden :cool:
 
Hi all! It seems that Apple has started to change its mind on the policy because my order is quietly active again!

I ordered from Apple Online Store Germany and received confirmation for May delivery. At the end of the day Apple sent me a letter stating that they have cancelled the order due to using Mailboxde.

Well, I emailed them for 2 days asking how could I buy the watch in store and they said that this is impossible. They also weren't willing to reinstate my order.

Lo and behold - today I logged in and it shows that order is processing for May delivery instead of being Cancelled as it used to be! :)

lucky!! My order was cancelled (US store), but I haven't received anything from them yet!
 
Got another call by Apple today, couldn't answer, checked my order and it was reinstated :cool:

Read the thread on 99mac. Seems many got their order recancelled :( My order is still cancelled and no call but I am hopeful! :)
 
I think it was automatically cancelled, since you're not allowed to ship to an apple store.


Sorry, maybe I din't explain myself properly. I ordered the watch in the french Apple Store webpage, but the delivery address was a prhysical French forwarding company (not the Apple Store Address itself), just the same as all of you.

I'm still waiting an answer from contactus.fr@...
Contacting my country's support instead french one would make any difference?
 
Well, actually the assistant that tried to call me left me an email saying that she couldn't reach me. So I replied and she called back.

"Hello, I'm calling from the executive team on behalf of Mr. Tim Cook" (lol but so far so good) "I'm sorry to..." (uh-oh) "inform you that we strictly cannot ship to freight forwarding services". Well, so much for that.

She did ask me what could I tell her that she could take to the manager to try to re-evaluate the situation, but really, what could I say... "no, that's not a freight forwarding service address, that's where I live"? Nah, so I just said that it would be good to know when the Watch gets released here, and she said she also didn't know but there will be a public announcement and she would tell me as soon as she knew - "let's keep in touch" :confused:

And now, for sure, that was that. I have no more hopes to get on this first wave and that's... strangely okay.

No friends or relative ? btw did you try calling your freight company and ask if they have a "alternative" address you can use with apple ? i know the one i use and shipito offer this kind of service for stores like apple that don't ship to freight forward reported address.

I'm calling you out!!!!

My guess is that YOU decided to create the phony name drop in your story & nobody said any such ridiculous thing to you...

In the posters defense, this is not the first time I have heard about Apple employees saying this!

I have friends there but I didn't want to be hassle. I didn't try anything else, however the situation is now solved. My order was re-instated yesterday and I got an email confirmation that it was a deliberate action :)

You know, it's not really important for me if you believe it or not :confused:

I'll still tell you that of course I know that wasn't the case (hence my lol) but I guess that's how she decided to formally introduce the why was she calling me after I sent an email to tcook@apple.com

So they told you they would do that for all people in your case ?!
Did they change their minds ???

That's so amazing if it's the case, but that's really what I'm expecting from Apple.

Anyone had their order reinstated without contacting Apple? Should I email them and complain or just wait for them to do it?
