I am sorry if I hyped up anybody too soon. My order from April 10. was cancelled on the same day due to the adress being from LogoIX, a forward shipping company. My order was set on cancelled for two days, and it was reactivated yesterday without any indication.
So I was able to change the address to my cousins address and now everything seems fine. Maybe it was an internal mistake by Apple to reactivate my order, but I would suggest to at least keep an eye on your order. I hope a lot of you will get the chance to change the address! (It won't affect the shipping date)
Again, best of luck. I'm feeling with you

German support.

They have probably not been informed about the reinstatements I guess. Try to get in contact with Apple Headquarters in Ireland. I mean they can't just reinstate some orders and others remain cancelled.

I've mailed them this morning. But still no answer. I'm trying all day long to call them but don't come true, always that same occupied sound....

Is this from the german support or ireland?

It's not that simple. It's a certain kind of discrimination against other EU countries and that is certainly forbidden. It's the same with Germany planning a Autobahn fee only for foreigners. They had to change their plan and charge germans too.

That is a tax, not an online store. They're not discriminating against other countries, they're discriminating against freight forwarding companies.

Its because they blocked the number. You have to call the Apple Support in your region.
0800 2000 136 is the Number for Germany (It'll probably make the same sound)
0800/99 846 is the Number for Belgium, try talking with them.

Yes, but it's the same argument. It's still a german address and someone is around to sign. They said you can't order the watch because it's only intended for the German market and that was their mistake. It's being shipped to a german address and not to other countries directly, so that is not illegal to do. They have the right to deny a order without any reason, but not thousands of orders because you're being accused of scalping.

I've just received a call from Apple Ireland.
The guy has said that my order is going to be reinstated with original delivery dates and he has thanked me for contacting Apple's executive team. He has also mentioned that the executive team will monitor my watch till it delivers.

Feeling happy now :)

Which Forward company did you use?

There is no EU law which states they have to ship to particular addresses.

There is no legal issue. Apple placed an advert on their online store (invitation to purchase), you placed an order (an offer to purchase), apple declined your offer. They're perfectly within their rights to do so.

Harsh as it sounds, I imagine a large number of fraudulent orders use forwarding companies.

There is definitely a legal issue, there is free movement of goods within the EU, theres even talks about removing Geoblocking within the EU. Did som research on the subject, and they need a very good reason to block the free movement.

Take a look at this article here

I undersstand Apple doesn't want companies reselling their products in other countries at higher prices, but individuals being first movers on a product and there by giving them free advertising, that i don't understand.

It's really hard to contact anyone else then customer service at Apple...
Has anyone else had their order resettled ? I tryed to reset mine but Apple Customer service told me they wouldn't do that...
(I'm French)

Has anyone else had their order reset ? Do you think that mine has still a chance to be now that customer service told me that they wouldn't ?

Thank you.

I'm still waiting response from Apple Ireland (I've mailed them yesterday morning). Try to called them but that's impossible because they block every call from the foreigners.... So just waiting.....

I am able to join them, but I don't know who I should ask speaking to. Because yesterday when I called, they transferred me to customer service...

I think most if not all of us will be ***** out of luck, even if a few got their orders reinstated initially. Under special conditions I reckon.

They are overflowing with orders and don't really care about getting you back in line instead of favoring their native markets.

At this point I'd settle for knowing the dates of the next waves of countries. Hey, it's not that bad to learn something more about the real life test of this Watch in its many variations right? Silver linings.

In any case sent my "moonshot" plea to tcook@apple.com just to make my peace with it.

What is the Role of the senior supervisor ?
Do you think they'll accept to transfer me to him ? I'll call them as fast as I can.

The 2 times I've called about something the normal employee couldn't help me out they've transformed me to him and he helped me out. Now I don't know if they are going to transfer you to him because I think everybody is calling now for the same thing. But it's worth a try

Oh shitttt!!

I actually got a call from Apple Ireland!

Here's the cruel irony: as I was answering, my iPhone's battery died.

I suffered for those 4/5 minutes that felt like a lifetime while my phone was charging before it turned on.

Then it did turn on... I called that number, only to hear "you have missed a call from Apple, goodbye".

Will they call again?!

I will be 1000x more upset to miss out on this for the simple fact of neglecting to keep my phone charged :(

Here still no mail back or any call, iphone is charging for safety

Update: Apple sent me an E-Mail to call the executive relations team to 'tell them my experiences' , I did shortly after.
I spoke with a very nice woman and she told me that my case and thread starters case are exceptions, they would normally never do this 'because of security concerns' (?!). She wouldn't tell me why some cases are still cancelled and some are reactived, she just wanted to make sure that everything's fine now.
I don't get their logic, it seems like these are all individual cases for them...

Well, actually the assistant that tried to call me left me an email saying that she couldn't reach me. So I replied and she called back.

"Hello, I'm calling from the executive team on behalf of Mr. Tim Cook" (lol but so far so good) "I'm sorry to..." (uh-oh) "inform you that we strictly cannot ship to freight forwarding services". Well, so much for that.

She did ask me what could I tell her that she could take to the manager to try to re-evaluate the situation, but really, what could I say... "no, that's not a freight forwarding service address, that's where I live"? Nah, so I just said that it would be good to know when the Watch gets released here, and she said she also didn't know but there will be a public announcement and she would tell me as soon as she knew - "let's keep in touch"

And now, for sure, that was that. I have no more hopes to get on this first wave and that's... strangely okay.
