Apple Hikes iCloud+ Subscription Prices in Many Countries Around the World

Have 4 TB on iCloud (4 Terrabytes) and need more !
Apple has increased the price of iCloud storage in several regions around the world, including the United Kingdom, Scandinavia, Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and South America.
Every Apple ID receives 5GB of free cloud storage, but users can upgrade to a paid iCloud+ storage subscription plan to get 50GB, 200GB, or 2TB of storage. The price hike, first spotted by 9to5Mac, represents an increase of around 25 percent.

Similar increases have occurred in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Poland, Bulgaria, Romania, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Tanzania, South Africa, Colombia, Peru, Brazil. Pricing in the United States, Canada, and European Union remains the same.
All paid iCloud+ storage plans include features like iCloud Private Relay, Hide My Email, and Custom Email Domains.

Please, needed help on how to backup and store my entire WhatsApp on an external SSD drive. I have 600 GB storage on my iPhone 14 pro max just with WhatsApp messages, photos and videos and need to transfer everything to an external drive as I have no espace on my Macbook pro. Waiting for your answer…

What I want to know is, why haven’t prices risen for the US? Seems unfair.
First it is ‘only’ 2 quid.
Second, may all of your bills increase by 25% overnight. (Do you even have an iCloud+ account?)
…and third, if 3 quid means nothing to you I can send you my PayPal account so that you can transfer it to me on a monthly basis.
You know you can share one iCloud subscription between all of your family members?
Yes I've seen that but unfortunately we both have large photo libraries.

What in the world…?? Delete some stuff. Surely you don’t need 500gb+ w worth of WhatsApp messages?
This is unreasonable. I don't even know how to respond to you on this because it just seems like it's a knee jerk defend Apple response
It doesn't make sense to think users accumulate a "wrong" amount of data. We take photos of videos of things we want photo and video of. Personally, I don't want to delete any of my family photos.
How would you know what amount of WhatsApp messages they need? I don't want to delete any of my iCloud messages. Someday I'll want all the messages with my Grandma, for example
Fair point, but surely some of this could be backed up and not need to be on the phone at all times.

I can confirm that the price is unchanged in the eurozone. Today Apple charged me €9.99 for the largest iCloud+ plan.@MR Sweden, Bulgaria, Romania and Denmark are in the European Union by the wayI guess what you mean is "Pricing in the EURO zone remains the same"

Can I have a 10tb option please? 2tb for a family is useless when everyone keeps taking raw photos and 4K videos.
Why exactly should we get 50gb for free? What entitles us to a free tier in the first place?
Keep in mind that the 5gb free tier is for live, not some limited freebie you get with a purchase.
I am in the UK and I received an email to notify me more than one month before the scheduled price increase.
Right! I’ve just moved all my data from the cloud and I’m saving £8.99 a month! I’m a man of principles and old fashioned manual data management 😂
It’s not the problem of the amount. If Apple charges fairly I would not mind paying £9.99 per month for iCloud. The problem is now 50G iCloud is £1 in UK, €1 in eurozone, and $1 in USA ($1.07–1.13 post tax perhaps). I don’t know why UK price is higher than the other two.Not easy dealing with some older relatives or some relatives at any age
I’ve moved my photos to local iPad and my files to Mega and my sync to Dropbox. I’ve closed iCloud and won’t use it until the price is fair here someday.
Yes EU price is 0.91 USD pre tax. Do you think 1.05<1=0.91?
Well, I don’t mind paying 0.05 USD more, I’m not miserable enough to keep such money as life long debt. However, why should they be entitled to charge more here?
And, someone mentioned Ukraine above. Very true. It looks like British isles are closer to Russia, and France Germany Italy Belgium Netherlands are on the other land, perhaps now neighbours of Cupertino?
