This is the primary reason Apple changed its policy on subscription price increases needing to be confirmed or cancelled, rather than now being simply acknowledged.
Nobody likes price increases it seems. And of course, to get how the crowd here really feel about "small" price increases in streaming services around here, swap the player away from being Apple. That’s not how this works. At all lolMore like the iPhone went from$1k to $1,000.50.
I have no idea what you're even talking about or how it relates to anything I said ... or even how it relates to this thread. The thread is about Apple raising prices for students in certain regions. Apple had a record breaking quarter (again). They are not hurting for money. They are making money hand over foot in this horrific economy. They don't need to raise their prices, especially for students already hurting from everything going on.So what is it exactly that you’re complaining about? The fact that consumers are spending their money on Apple products? FYI, it’s not just products consumers are spending their money on, it’s also services that Apple has exceedingly done very well with.
People don't like price increases in general, including Apple. And of course, to get how the crowd here really feels about "small" price increases in streaming services around here, swap the player away from being Apple. Search and see. It appears anyone else asks for a little more: bad, robbery, ripoff, rebellion, gather the torches & pitchforks. They should pay ME that much to take the service. Bait & Switch. There should be a law against. Get the stake ready and start the fire. Etc.

They don’t ‘need’ to raise the prices? Says who exactly? You? Who are you to determine that Apple doesn’t need to raise prices based off they are also directly affected by rising costs from manufacturing. You make it sound like Apple is immune from the inflation, when they’re part of it.They don't need to raise their prices, especially for students already hurting from everything going on.
Still remember having to buy music physically back in the day.

Furthermore, I don’t feel bad for students at all. That’s part of being a student, is the struggle. Apple isn’t the only manufacturer raising prices, across the board. Apple raising prices is in a position to make money and capitalize where they need to, that’s fundamental profiteering for the better part of business.
If a student can’t afford the prices of an Apple product, then there’s cheaper alternatives they probably can execute what’s required.
Furthermore, I don’t feel bad for Apple at all. That’s part of being a company, is the struggle. EU isn’t the only region adjusting laws, across the board. EU adjusting laws is in a position to protect their market and customers and capitalize where they need to
IMO, what the poster meant in one word was/is greed. So what is it exactly that you’re complaining about? The fact that consumers are spending their money on Apple products? To call the crowd here skewed and sycophantic toward Apple... is actually hyperbole.Spot on
Apple does it: "no problem" and endless defense of Apple
Anyone else does it: consistent bashing from all angles possible
To call the crowd here skewed and sycophantic toward Apple... is actually an understatement.
Umm, you know that using percentage hides the scale. Increasing the price from one cent to two cents is a 100% increase. At the end of the day it is still a one cent increase.Umm... what? You know that you don't compare increases with absolute values.
You spelled Tidal wrong.Spotify is a much superior service, better navigation and better layout.
Companies that are greedy, eg Enron, Bernie madoff don’t have that forever type of staying power.IMO, what the poster meant in one word was/is greed.
Most people aren't defending it. But the people that are have some kind of masochistic mentality.Spot on

I don’t know many people who want to “pay more.” Some things like electricity, petrol, food, medical care people have to suck it up or find different alternatives. For example, regular instead off premium, store brands instead of premium brands, alternative electric suppliers etc. Most people aren't defending it. But the people that are have some kind of masochistic mentality.
Your examples are of corruption/scams not so much greed.Companies that are greedy, eg Enron, Bernie madoff don’t have that forever type of staying power.
I would think greed is at the heart of it. Ymmv.Your examples are of corruption/scams not so much greed.
