The recently used emoji is still broken, but they brought back the new emoji picker including larger emoji, stickers and Memoji
I don’t get this either. Been trying on my iPad and don’t know how to get it to work.
The update screen (before updating) said you need US English as the region, device language and Siri language.
I’m in Australia and changed to that, and was able to join the wait list
Changing your device region is ok but won’t work as they know where your device is.
Because too many people act out of cynicism rather than facts.why is misinformation the first post, and it's already liked.
the iPad Pro M1 & up are supported, this is clearly listed on the info page

Just the Apple Intelligence isn’t in Canada - but we can still download the new 18.1 beta.
It does have a few minor additions to it besides the AI, but it’s not as cool and shiny haha
And every Apple Silicon Mac.
When you add that up, it is a large number of devices.
Same thing is happening for me. The solid white line flashes different colors when I double tap, but nothing happens. Same result on my iPhone 15 Pro Max and my iPad M2 Air. I'm trying it on the Home Screen. Does it not work there, and I need to be in an app or something to get it to work?
Also, I got the beta to show for my iPhone and iPad, but I cannot get it to show up for my M3 MacBook Pro. Anyone else not seeing for their MacBook (US Based)?

I have a feeling it isn’t working correctly at this point.
Edit: Looks like rebooting may fix it.
Actually, it does. I just tested it: used VPN with usa server, changed Mac's region settings to USA, done. Now I'm in the waiting list.
Finally got tap to type working by rebooting my iPad, however, Siri seems lobotomized at this point. I opened the photos app and said "Siri, show me pictures of Milo", which is my cat. I got the answer "Here are pictures of Milo I found on the web". I asked for pics of myself and my wife together, and was told the same "here is what I found on the web". I'm sure it will improve, but right now, Siri is dumb!
And it appears to be off by default. That should put the minds of the "ermagerd the vax connects to mah 5g" crowd at ease.
How is this news? They explicitly said it was US only to start when they first announced AI.
I think the beta versions in last week has released by interns or something. I have been never been this confused with apple’s beta numbering policy before. 😂 i think we have never had .1 beta before .0 released commonly.
I just downloaded on iPhone 15 Pro Max and iPad Pro 13 M4 and still don’t have intelligence enabled still on the waiting list
