When a person uses an iPhone, that person realizes how idiotic it is to purchase any thing else, and that makes a person feel good and not give a crap... which folks like you do perceive as 'superiority'.

/wasted time

Nope, when he starts talking abiut how stupid others are for not buying an iphone like him, thats when people get annoyed .

Apples customer service

So true!!! Apple sets the bar for everyone! :apple:
Not just products, but services as well!

Absolutely agree about there Customer Service, it's superior to any business I've dealt with! Very few come close, we have a family business and we do model our C.S in the same fashion!:apple:

Compared with the number of countries it was sold, It was an USA mainly problem. And its popularity proves it.
More iphones get sold outside the USA, and what has got popularity todo with it? Or do problems magicly disapear when a product id popular ?

You are shooting all over the place and even shoot your own feet.
iPhone antenna is revolutionary, it was risky to do because no one ever did it, it was risky, period.
Believe what you want , to me apple or samsung or most mayor companies barely bring anything risky out, again they dont have to. But you can believe the antenna design made it incredibly riscfull to apple .

Mistake or not it is irrelevant, the risk/courage/innovative spirit behind it - IS to prize.
Apple is the most risk-taker company on its field, that is a fact.
 to whole question was 'does apple admit mistakes?' and now thats irrelevant ?

Ah and mistakes are allowed when taking risks , well then you admit it was a fault and apple never admitted as such, case closed .

OH!, percieved superiority is in the head of the Apple-hater.
Nope, YOU think what YOU bought is better then what others are buying, YOU think they should follow you. Because YOU think apple is best for everyone.

To me people should buy whatever they like and need be it apple samsung or whatever , see the difference?

You're attitude rubs people the wrong way because you think the product you now like is 'superior' ignoring of course that 'better' is subjective .

If you accept the free will of others, you will be free!

I suggest you take youre own adice and let other people make up their own minds .

I really don't understand how people say these ads are pretentious.

They actually remind me of their older ads and seem to be back on course. Just glad they ended the genius ads they ran during the Olympics.

Sure, why not? It's one of the only features of iOS 6 that I think is really cool. Have you tried it? It's incredibly fast, and the algorithm they use to stitch together the images is really impressive. I got a great one today at the Griffith Observatory when I was waiting for the Shuttle to fly over.

What I don't understand is why they bury Panorama in the Options menu of the Camera, instead of making it a button on the main screen. How many people even press the options button? How many will even know Panorama exists, or where to find it? At least this ad will help with the first part, but not so much with the second part.

I'm sure it's pretty cool. Admittedly I haven't tried it yet!

I thought these ads were quite cute. Especially the "cheeeeese" one I liked.

Btw... if having round in-ear headphones is so stupid... why have Apple's headphones been that way for years? Same about screen size?

Not wanna flame this, but half of those ads are just telling that the way Apple did it the past couple of years was just wrong.

While I agree with the headphones... I really don't like the larger screen. I'd even more like to have a smaller screen.

I'm sure Apple realizes that their headphones have been round for the last 10 years, hence the question of why should they be round was probably directed at themselves as well as any other headphone. Apple isn't immune from self-criticism, I'm sure that's one thing Steve ingrained into the company (given is propensity to rip people a new one over bad products/ideas).

As far as the screen size, they're not saying that the 3.5 inch screen size they've been using was wrong, they're saying the way other phones manufacturers have implemented them. That's why he says "THIS bigger screen."

No, AntennaGate was an USA phenomena.

Apple takes risks more than any other company of its kind. that is a fact.
Taking risk is welcoming troubles.

That antenna still is unique/revolutionary if you want, obviously they didn’t get it right at first attempt, but you cannot ignore that other phones did have the same problem in the USA. Which is also a fact.

There were plenty of factual evidences, Apple even posted videos on their site.

AntennaGate was a fabrication of lazy journalists.

Please stop this nonsense. Normal people?
In real world that word means nothing!
But perhaps that is the main difference between Apple haters and those who love apple way of thinking.
Normalization is a generalization, while most of us who love apple way of thinking despise that word - generalization, because it is laziness.
:)

the nonsenses is loving a tech company ... A phone is just a "thing" u use and replace when it breaks or u get sick of it. I could care less what apple "thinks" as long as their device fits my needs ^^

and i still think that those ads seem to be targeted at kindergarden children or old people and housewives

"Antennagate" is a real thing, not just in the US. Just tried it on my old iPhone 4 but its nothin to make a fuzz about cuz i never hold my phone that way and it doesnt drop to zero anyway

- sent from my 5th iPhone

10 years mac users, never told anyone to use anything. Listened to other people telling me what should I use and why Apple's devices are not good million times. Since iPhone advent the numbers have raised exponentially.

... but the physics bit about bigger and smaller is just confusing for people who don't know that it's taller but actually takes up less space because it's also much thinner.
Are you suggesting there are people in the world that don't know? Either way, it seemed massively obvious what they were saying

I bet they won't do a maps advert.
This made me laugh. The maps are really a step backward, its such a shame. They do look nice, and the sat nav is excellent from my experience so far, but you can't do a general search any more. You either need to know the address for something already, or google it

Very good ads from Apple. Makes a change from what garbage we've had off them the past few years.

Anybody else notice the "also works on 4S" at the end of the Panorama ad. Why would they put that on there? I know its true, but that just tells people they don't need to buy a new iPhone to get that new feature.

You nailed it about Samsung. They're not the underdog. And I'll bet a lot of Samsung fans right now are fans because is the biggest challenge to Apple not because they really love Samsung products. Even though it could hurt Apple too I'd love HTC or Nokia to get out of the doldrums and become a legitimate alternative to Samsung.

As far as the Mav vs PC ads did they really sway that many people from MS to Apple? I can't see how Samsung thinks portraying people as mindless sheep is a good way to attract new customers. And one could ask, are all the millions who purchased a GS3 sheep too?

I would love to see Nokia come back as a big player. They are one of the few manufacturers of mobile devices who is really trying to strike out on their own path and be different. The Lumia line is fantastic. Excellent hardware and great software integration. If I wasn't in Apple fan I'd be toting a Nokia, no doubt about that.

HTC I have less affection for though I agree that it would be nice to see them come back again. We need proper competition and real alternatives. Apple has it's own way of doing things and I like that way. I don't like Android or Samsung. I would hate to find that, in a few years, I only really have a choice between an Apple iPhone and a Samsung Android handset. That would be an awful scenario.

Anybody else notice the "also works on 4S" at the end of the Panorama ad. Why would they put that on there? I know its true, but that just tells people they don't need to buy a new iPhone to get that new feature.

I guess they think it's worth it to tell 4S users so they have more incentive upgrade to iOS 6.

These are...quite bad

They set a completely different tone to the usual Apple ads. They lack emotion and seem to be playing up to this whole rivalry Apple and Samsung fanboys have going on right now.

That's just one of the ads, and you only notice that if you are part of the Apple vs Samsung thing (the screen ad). Now, explain the "Mac vs PC" ads and the "1984" ad.

Nice work. Jeff Daniels is perfect for the voice over. He contributes to the "Fun Aspect" of the adds. His voice triggers subconscious feelings of positive Karma.

Um, no. That would be Rowan Ackinson, William Shatner, or Leonard Nimoy. :D
How cool would it be to have an ad with Spock, Kirk, or Mr. Bean talking about the iPhone?

I guess they think it's worth it to tell 4S users so they have more incentive upgrade to iOS 6.

But they didn't mention iOS 6 in the commercial, and besides they don't make any money from people upgrading to iOS 6 anyway.

Panorama mode commercial. Are you serious?! Too bad the typical consumer will not realize its been around in years and think its "innovative".

Come on apple, this is all you can come up with new features? :p:p

The thumb one was actually pretty good. Physics kind of stupid.

I'll be looking forward to the time when my ringtone is not the same of all my peers in the social group, so we don't all go looking for our cell phones.

I5 made the decision 10X easier.

I4 Innovative. I5 = spec bump. VOTE WITH YOUR WALLET, DON'T BE COMPLACENT. SEND A MESSAGE.

I really hope windows 8 does well and starts stealing market share so Apple can do some real innovation here.

Wait, do all of your friends keep the default ringtone? My iPhone makes the communicator sound.

None of the iOS 6 features are innovative. They're just better. That's what consumers (including me) care about. Also, nobody cares about the processor. "Too bad" indeed.

What's interesting is I often hear people talk about choice but how often does that really play out? Microsoft dominates the desktop operating system, Apple and Samsung dominate the mobile phone space. It would be nice to see a third player come in and challenge that space. I can't stand Samsung and it seems everything they do is geared towards impressing the tech press.

It's about keeping them in the Apple mindset, eating Apple products. Same with Android. Android is completely free, but Google produces and markets it.

What about Google? They market phones too, the best Android phones I think.

I think they don't 4S owners who upgraded to the new iPhone to come back to them saying, "Why didn't you tell me I didn't have to buy a new phone to have that feature? I want my money back!".
