Apple Introduces Four Television Spots for the iPhone 5

They were good except for the Laws of Physics one. It seems to be aimed at idiots who don't know that mass = density*volume. Really, the laws of physics don't apply to the iPhone 5 because it has a bigger screen, but it's thinner and lighter? That's just insulting to the viewers.

The rest are nice. They really emphasize the quality and simplicity of the iPhone.

I love how he mentions that "the laws of physics are general guidelines" while showing off iOS6 Maps. This is what the word irony was invented for.

Yeah, I think the narrator is the guy who made some of the reality-defying maps.

Actually, they come with the iPhone. I just don't see what the big deal is about them. I think I've only used my Apple earbuds once.

All Apple products are inferior past iphone 4/4s and snow leopard. It's a fact. Don't fool yourselves...or should I say delude...Lion and Mountain Lion are absolute garbage and although the full screen safari browser on iOS6 is much needed it's much too late. If Apple really, truly wanted to innovate, they'd create an iphone 4 or 4s that was nothing but a front display and do away with the home button and reposition the speaker and camera to where it was a part of the frame or behind the display to where it wasn't noticeable to the front. Also, I think John Krasinski would do a pretty good job with the voiceovers of Apple commercials. The current guy's voice is kind of annoying.

I wouldn't say good. Better, but not good. Ridiculously bass and low-midrange heavy almost to the point where things get muddy. You can get better headphones for $29 elsewhere.

Can you give some specific examples? Brand/model? This kind of response is annoying--I see it all over Amazon reviews.

If you're trying to be helpful, why not point people in the right direction? Unless of course you were just talking out of your corn hole, now were you?

I really hope windows 8 does well and starts stealing market share so Apple can do some real innovation here.

Panoramic...

I like these very much.

They nicely emphasize the hard engineering work behind the iPhone 5. Except the panorama ad, I don't understand how they can advertise such a trivial feature.

Just got my iPhone 5, and I tried the Panorama effect in the Camera app. And it's truly amazing. I've owned the Pano app for about a year and half, but have deleted it. It is no longer needed. It's amazing how quick and hi-def the new feature is, compared to having to take 8-10 photos. As a graphic designer myself, it actually is high enough quality that you could print it and frame it. No false advertising here. I didn't believe it till I played with the feature myself.

LOL! Whilst the ads are pretty catchy. The whole thumbs ad is a bit condescending (much ike the Samsung ad). Its Apple trying to demonstrate that the phone can be operated one handed. Ermmm, no big deal to be honest. And I say that 90% of people actually operate their phones two handed so its a bit irrelavent IMO. What Apple is trying enforce here is getting users to use the phone once handed just because they say so.

As for the Earbuds. I laughed at the whole "Peoples ears arent round, so why should earphones be??????" LMFAO! So just because Apple bundles these cheap ass pods that arent round like the crap that they have been bundling for the past 5 years all of sudden its like they are saying "Look at what we invented! Ergonomic earphones, we have saved the world!" (whilst ripping of the Bose IE design of course)!!!! Listen I love the iPhone and the Mac line up but Apple like to treat their customers as clueless sometimes

I think these ads are very good - much better than those laughable Genius ads. However, these ads don't have the same impact as a few years ago as all smartphones now do cool stuff and party tricks.

Would be nice to see Apple come up new 'award winning' ads with a completely new feel and pull it off.

Great post. Absolutely loved Snow Leopard. Lion was a mediocre upgrade in comparison although it seems to be stable these days. the iPhone 5 whilst a beautiful looking phone isnt as stand outish as its previous incarnations. I know its very popular and the best selling phone but its pretty boring overall. Cracks are beginning to show at Apple since the departure of Jobs. Those horrendous Ads a few months back. Slow roll out of Ivybridge into the iMac creating a confusing line up in the Mac store of up to date hardware RMBp's MBA's etc mixed with out of date iMac (and the seriously out of date MacPro). Final Cut Pro X (iMovie +) alienating and forcing many Pros over to Adobe. And I have to mention the disaster that Apple Maps are. Although Apple are more interested in shouting from the rooftops about how great Flyover is. Great but that POS doesnt even show me my local transport links or reataurants. Yeah flyover is amazing woohoo!
