All Apple products are inferior past iphone 4/4s and snow leopard. It's a fact. Don't fool yourselves...or should I say delude...Lion and Mountain Lion are absolute garbage and although the full screen safari browser on iOS6 is much needed it's much too late. If Apple really, truly wanted to innovate, they'd create an iphone 4 or 4s that was nothing but a front display and do away with the home button and reposition the speaker and camera to where it was a part of the frame or behind the display to where it wasn't noticeable to the front. Apple iPhone 5 is a fail in every way except that it's a spec bump. iPhone 4/4s are both the epitome of what a phone should be. iPhone 5 is a bastardization of the design and a cop out. Don't support iPhone 5, buy an iPhone 4s instead and send a message to Apple that change for the sake of change is NOT SOMETHING YOU SUPPORT. Snow Leopard is the last great OS from Apple and anyone that disagrees with me can list their reasons why it's not and I'll give them 3 reasons why it is...R.I.P. Steve Jobs, I will not be a part of the idiots disassembling your dream...

Apple has dropped the ball a few times recently.

1. The FCPX launch was a shambles and a slap in the face to pro users. That said, now the dust's settled that product is winning millions of fans. It wasn't the product that was bad, just the way it was slapped onto the market unfinished. And there's no communication to Pro users. Is Aperture still a Lightroom competitor or is it now only going to be iPhoto+? What's the roadmap?

2. Maps. Total joke. I mean, I can't overstate how crap this is. The whole thing needs throwing in the bin and starting again. It looks years away from even matching the third, fourth, fifth-placed mapping solutions let alone Google Maps. It's not just that maps is bad - questions have to be asked about the people running Apple. Was Scott Forstall happy with this utter bum wash? Did Tim Cook even look at it? Did they keep it secret from perfectionists like Jonny Ive? I mean, Apple... WTF is up with you!!

3. Mac Pro. I used to work in publishing. Sometimes 'book on'e would sell tens of thousands while 'book ten' might actually only sell a few hundred - but is had to be there FOR THE SAKE OF COMPLETENESS of a series. Thus ignoring IMPORTANT products that might not be huge sellers when you have a cash mountain the size of Everest is unforgivable.

4. Appointing John Browett to head global retail?????? He comes from Dixons, UK - a company with one of the most terrible reputations for customer service in Britain. Some said, 'Ahh, but he was a Dixon outsider' but Dixons customer service didn't improve one bit under him. If you want to have McAppleStores then he's probably your man. Tim Cook - what is up with you???

Okay, that's out of the way - MacBook Air, Retina MacBook, iPhone 5 (aside from maps), Mountain Lion - these are all amazing, stunning products. Apple just need to slap themselves across the face and concentrate on the game.

OK the last pair of headphones I bought were $75 so I guess $29 doesn't seem like a lot to me.

What I like about these commercials is not one of them is mocking Samsung. :)

Should BE obvious?

iPhone 5, when engineering matters MORE than tech specs.

A proof that design isn’t scribbling, it is the result of deep thought + clever engineering, a truly multidisciplinary discipline.

Expect others to copy.

cheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee *breathe* eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee *breathe more* eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeese!!!!!!!!!

love it!

rly dont get the obsession with using just one hand. i type faster with both hands than on my computer.

i hate how those apple ads always assume that the viewer is an idiot or a 6 year old with the way he talks

They are statements from a company that is SURE of each step it takes.

That is why i love Apple, it is not the attention grab desire ( in order to sell ), but a highly disciplined commitment to deliver their best, based in reason and common sense, NO, Apple NOT always make it right, but the intent is there.

Still that way, you’ll have my love and admiration.

Really, you can be more productive using he other hand for, you know …
blowing …

Seriously that design mirrors what Apple is all about, focus and respect for people who buys their work.

Btw... if having round in-ear headphones is so stupid... why have Apple's headphones been that way for years? Same about screen size?

Not wanna flame this, but half of those ads are just telling that the way Apple did it the past couple of years was just wrong.

While I agree with the headphones... I really don't like the larger screen. I'd even more like to have a smaller screen.

Because great companies like Apple are able to admit when they were wrong, after they come with a solution obviously.

Other losers will never do so and just copy others and make of fun of the competition's clients, if you know who I am talking about.

Bs, look at antennagate apple denied then falsly claimed all others had the same issue by mixing it with something else.

Apple like any mayor company has issue admitting faults

antennaGate = BigFoot.

Actually antennaGate was a fabrication, And Apple did prove that other phones did suffer from the same problem. + antennaGate was almost USAcentric.

See apple's version still rules the waves.

No, antennagate was unique to the iphone 4 because the 'special' design apple used with external multiple antenna's (they even heavily publized it as a unique feature) When connecting the both (either with a finger or anything conductive) reception lessened considerable .

Apple then mixed this up with deathgrip, strongly clasping a cellphone where its antenna's are situated, this reduces receptin as wel and is something most cellphones suffer from.

As I said apple never admitted the mistake in design rather saying 'you are holding it wrong' or 'other have simular issues' both are of course bs .

Lol at the thumb video, who the hell holds his phone in that grip? And also, you see that he can't reach the upper right corner, which if fine, but like most people when you're right handed, you can't reach the upper left corner, which is a problem, because a lot of back buttons in iOS are there. Android & WP8 solve this by adding a dedicated back button on the bottom. How do ya' explain them apples?

I was in the Verizon store for almost two hours yesterday afternoon. Here was the dialog overheard.

Verizon employee: Welcome to the Verizon store, may I help you.

Customer: Yes, where is the new iPhone to look at.

Verizon employee: They are over there, points in direction.

Customer: Okay, are there any left in stock?

Verizon employee: Yes, but they are limited in 16GB capacities.

Customer: Goes to look at iPhone. Looks underwhelmed. Talks with other customers about it looking about the same as old iPhone. Also talks about the screen being smaller than imagined, iOS looking the same and data plans.

Customer and/or Verizon employee: Where is the Samusung Galaxy S3 to look at? We have the Samsung Galaxy S3 which is popular and has a bigger display.

Customer: Looks at Samsung Galaxy S3. Ask questions. Plays around. Decides to buy one.

Saw it happen literally 10-15 times. I'm sure the iPhone is going to sell well, but it's all about the screen now. In general, people just want bigger phones. So I think after the hype wears down, the iPhone will just be another phone. Especially after Google releases a new unlocked Nexus for $349 and the new Note comes out.

Jeff Daniels is a good choice for narration, and I like the first two ads. This type of ad actually works well for Apple. They've been using the same style since 1997 and it's become their signature.
Jeff Daniels isn't narrating the commercials...

(waits for angry response)

These ads seem uninspiring to me. I can see them easily mocked. That said, I love my iPhone 5, but that's because I'm a loyal Apple fan. Period. These ads are unconvincing for people on the fence, I believe.

Good ads, but they aren't great ads. They almost come off as pretentious.

I agree. They are good adds, but not great adds. However, I wouldn't say they come off as pretentious - that's a bit much.

They do lack that Apple fun vibe without overstating it. I feel the ads were a bit forced.

When your the industry leader you never compare yourselves to inferior product. Have you ever seen a BMW commercial say their cars have more head room than a Honda Accord? Won't happen. Never will happen.

I've always enjoyed Apple's iPod ads more than their other ads. They just seem more hip and fun whereas these are boring.

Ah so Samsung is admitting their product is inferior. ;)

i really like these ads... but there will always be weiners out there who dislike it.

These adverts are great! I love "thumbs" and when it says "a dazzling display of common sense". Yeah, like the moronic decisions by other competitors to create inappropriately large screens.

When life gives you weiners, throw them back.

I agree and disagree with your post.

First, I don't see how Lion and Mountain Lion are worse than Snow Leopard since they are practically the same. The only noticeable difference is a few new features added and some UI changes. I know they removed Expose and Front Row which sucked, but they also added Launchpad which I believe is one of the best OS X features ever, it's so much quicker launching apps now. They also added full screen apps as well which is a great feature. You might argue that Snow Leopard was more stable and quicker, but I personally haven't noticed anything in those areas, they all run quickly and I rarely experience problems. Also, Steve Jobs was still the CEO of Apple when they released Lion, so if it does suck, then surely he has to take some of the blame. As for the iPhone 5, when I first saw the leaks I wasn't impressed either, I thought it looked quite tacky, the two tone back seemed ugly and the bigger screen was just awkward. But since the keynote was done and there have been higher quality pictures and videos, I don't think it looks that bad. The bigger screen is starting to seem like a good idea as well, it still feels natural in your hand and the bigger screen gives you a better experience watching video, looking at photos and using the OS in general; it was a smart move in my opinion, and on reflection I actually feel Steve would have done it as well.

However, I agree that since Steve died, Apple have been struggling in some areas. It just seems like there is no one to guide them in the right direction or demand perfection. iOS 6 is a great example; the new music app is horrible, the iTunes store and the App store apps are both more complicated and harder to use than before, there are inconsistent features like the status bar changing colour with some apps and staying black with others.. What's the point in that? Apple maps should never have seen the light of day in its current state, it was such a bone headed move that's gonna lead to lots of negative press. And there were other mistakes as well like that horrible podcast app and those ridiculous genius commercials. So much of this stuff probably wouldn't have happened under Steve's guidance.

I think a lot of people tend to get defensive on this subject because they love Apple and don't want to believe that Steve dying could ruin this amazing company. Unfortunately its perfectly possible. You can have the most talented people in the world working for you but if theres nobody to stir the ship in the right direction, you're screwed. Not saying Apple will go out of business or anything, but they are in danger of becoming just another company.

Really great ads, especially with the addition of Jeff Daniels.

For anyone confused over the EarPods one, Apple always tries to distance itself from prior products. "Why *would* earbuds be round? I don't know what we were smoking before, but we nailed it with EarPods."

It's a psychological upgrade mechanism for anyone using the former "inferior" product.

Wow, just laugh at the first video about the thumb. Apple trying its hardest to reason why it would fragment its os by changing to 16:9. No Apple that was a stupid move. For what, movies? How many people watch a movie on a 4 inch screen, willing to bet not that many, but that is cool you do tell us why exactly the screen has to be absurdly tall instead of having that nice 4:3 aspect ratio that had a good balance between the vertical and horizontal fields.

Oh and now according to your dumb movie we are supposed to deathgrip the phone. Didn't you tell us we were holding the damn phone wrong when we did that the with 4 and 4s. Make up your damn mind.

We now have to hold the phone wrong according to them to make their stupid 16:9 screen relevant. Okay, cool makes sense.
