So much hassle for a flop product.
Maybe its a flop cause people with large wrists cannot wear one

Well I'm a woman with smaller wrists. I didn't want 42 and certainly wouldn't want anything even largerthan that. I'm glad Apple is one of the few actually catering to women (or men) with small wrists.
No black stainless steel yet, then?

Talking about wrist size. Those who are 6 foot to 6ft2 average 7-9 inch wrist circumference. So I don't think it's unbelievable that someone who is 6ft8 has a wrist size between 11 and 12 inches. Especially given that the average shoe size at 6ft1 is 12, yet at 6ft8, Lebraun wears a size 16 or 17 per his fan page. Proportionately it makes complete sense.
Yes, while we get all hyped up about new Apple Watches and iPhones, there really are people getting all chatty about wrist sizes in their own forum, haha
99.999% of the people with this kind of wrist circumference are obese.
Plus a pony. Everyone should get a free pony.Six links for $49 is a decent price. But people with large wrists should be given extra links for free at the Apple Store.
The standard average male watch these days is about 42mm, so no they're not making a 46mm for quite some time if ever, that would also explode the number of models available even more. Considering the massive amount of them they have now and the complexity of a launch which is still not world wide, that wouldn't be a good idea.
Plus a pony. Everyone should get a free pony.
Except tall people should get a free horse.
So much hassle for a flop product.
I had a friend who was just the opposite (more like our "Flop" guy there). Everything was always dismal. If you said it was a nice day, he'd say it was too hot. If it was a cool day it was too cold. If things were going well, they were going wrong somewhere in the world and he was going to tell you where and how.I used to work in a company where one of the partners used to say "everything is excellent" even I was giving him warnings.
Fascinating story, but I've read it several times and I still can't see the relevance to Apple watch band sizings.I used to work in a company where one of the partners used to say "everything is excellent" even I was giving him warnings. His answer for everything was "everything goes wonderful". I told him the company would go bankrupt by December even we were in April, he was looking at my boobs.
By December he left without saying goodbye to anybody. He was kicked as a partner and the company lost some $300K. He even left the city. Things are not wonderful for him anymore, he was the administrator with "thousands of management degrees". A sad 50+ years old show off. He always was hitting on me with his smile and his BMW. So men believe that with age they are mature.
I know folks who got the 38mm. I am not a fan of the current fad for dinner-plate sized watches, and waited the first appointment slot back in April to try both sizes to decide which worked for me (got the 42mm because it worked and I wanted the extra screen size). Keep in mind that the design team at Apple has a lot of folks on it who like high-end watches. They didn't design this in a vacuum. Given some pretty savvy designers, and a pretty much unlimited design budget, they thought these sizes were the best. It's not like they didn't consider other possibilities - I bet there are plenty of larger Apple Watches in the lab, they just decided those didn't work out as well as the current sizes.Which is why I think they should have made a 46mm watch as well. Most everyone I know, including women, chose the 42, and many wanted something larger.
You realize that someone who is 6ft4 and thin as a rail in perfect shape, yet can't fit into a large Apple Watch, yet someone who is 5ft2 and weighs 240 lbs can fit into a small band because their bones aren't thicker, they're just overweight. Maybe you should stop and think about what you say before you say it.
I think this happens a lot. People can't seem to grasp there are considerations they can't predict or think of. They'll burn bridges based on the assumption they thought of everything.the designers did consider that idea, and rejected it for some reason that hasn't occurred to you
I'm 6ft 5 my bones are huge and I can fit a normal watch band fine, this apple release is to cater for all the obese Americans who can't fit into an apple watch
Oh, because the product is a flop and Apple keeps investing on it, Apple is acting as if everything is going wonderfully. Eventually they will hit the reality. They will have to release the real numbers. And personally selling that watch band for so much money is just crazy. They are acting as if they have the best product ever and I very sure it is Apple's biggest failure worst to the disaster that was replacing Final Cut Pro for Final Cut X. Just wait a few more months.Fascinating story, but I've read it several times and I still can't see the relevance to Apple watch band sizings.
Not trying to be rude, but is this the forum equivalent of butt-dialling, perhaps? First I've seen of it![]()

Funny thing, but he didn't have many friends and those he did have...well, one by one they stopped wanting to be around him. What I think was most apt here, however, was the fact that he liked to make grand predictions (negative ones always), and he was always wrong. If you said, "isn't that great—" he say, "it's gonna flop..." but he was never right. When you pointed out to him that he'd made a wrong prediction, he'd just say, "Yeah, well, but this is still in trouble..." and find someway to, yet again, bring things down. And no, he didn't mature/gain wisdom with age either. Just got worse.
It's odd, isn't it? We take perpetual optimists to task for not being realistic, but we should remember that the perpetual pessimists are usually being equally unrealistic. We seem to think that doom predictions are more real, but on closer examination, the pessimist is usually as wrong as the optimist.
This is welcome news indeed.
Those good folks with the chubby wrists need to track their fitness the most, so it is good to see Apple accommodating the most needy.
I look forward to hearing the first success story on these forums of someone who has gone from 500 lb to a svelte 300 lb courtesy of the Apple Watch. Thinner than Thin.
Wait so.. the bracelet catch mechanism must be worth $200+?
It's getting worse here...it's shockingI wouldn't be so smug about Americans and obesity, the problem is a lot closer to home than you think.
If you click on his username there's an "ignore" link. Really useful imho, esp. for trolls. It's bad enough that you take every single opportunity to bash the apple watch. But now you're insulting and belittling those who are obese, and may be wiling to try anything to lose weight. Do you have any idea how difficult it can be for someone who is overweight to lose some of those extra pounds. You sarcasm and downright meanness doesn't help them.
This isn't a forum for rumors. While there are some informative posts, there is a huge number of people who just enjoy bashing and insulting and demeaning just about everything presented on this forum. I'm very close to stopping wasting my time here. It's just too hard to get any real useful information mixed in with the nonsense.
Yay, now I can finally follow through on my plan to become morbidly obese without giving up my Apple Watch Sport!!
Agree on the ignore feature. It works much better in this new forum layout than the old one. Even quotes from ignored members are erased. If you click on his username there's an "ignore" link. Really useful imho, esp. for trolls.
If you think about it, it's kind of sad. People bashing do that for some reason: maybe to justify their purchase, or lack of purchase.. or just to feel better, or hide some pain.
Oh...
I went from 210 to 195 in a couple months. Progress.I look forward to hearing the first success story on these forums of someone who has gone from 500 lb to a svelte 300 lb courtesy of the Apple Watch. Thinner than Thin.
