OLED is still a benchmark for screen it's still too expensive for ipad use, for TVs mini LED's still don't have enough dimming zones. Go read reviews on new Samsung TV still have blooming in dark scenes.

Checks off all my boxes. Buying it for sure. Coming from a 2018 iPad Pro. I do a ton of video and photography and to have the same display as the XDR in MY HANDS makes me happy.

OLED doesn’t need dimming zoned because each pixel can be individually controlled, for *much* better picture quality than miniLED. This is a stop-gap technology
The zones being the only thing you can mention, because the rest makes obvious why OLED could never power these. OLEDs don’t get to 1000 nits, much less 1600. And HDR being an actual thing, a pro device needs it.

This is really tempting. I have a 2-year-old vanilla iPad that I don't use much, mainly because there isn't a lot I can do with it. But these new models look much more useful. I'm surprised they didn't announce that Mac apps could run on it. There doesn't seem to be anything preventing that now, especially with a connected keyboard and trackpad.
