It’s more powerful than the pro. Considering how the A13 beat the 12Z in single core, this one should beat the multi-core benchmark as well. The only bottleneck would be available ram.How does the A14 compare to the A12Z from the iPad Pros?

It has 2 speakers...stop miss-inform peopleNope , new air has also 4 speakers.
It will be nice if someone compares the models to help us choose.
The real question is... how does
iPad Pro with A12z stack up against iPad Air with A14.
Maybe they’re trying to make their laptops appear affordable beside this 🤣599 lmao
They're really trying to replace your laptop with this
This is the most interesting thing about the new iPad Air.In addition, the new iPad Air is the first Apple device with Touch ID built into the power button.
Very interested to see how the A14 compares to my 2018 11” chip. Poor saps who bought the refreshed 11” must be upset.
My grandmother has been bugging me to update her 3rd gen Air and I‘m glad I held firm so I can get her the basic model with updated A12 chip.
You mean $200 dollars.Won't know about RAM until someone does a teardown, but my guess would be 4 GB on the Air, and still 3 GB on the base iPad. Yes the Pro still have a few upgrades, but most people probably won't see those upgrades as worth $300 compared to the Air.
Remember when $599 at Apple bought you a Mac Mini and not just an iPad? 😂
I'd much rather have an $899 MBA that's infinitely more compatible and capable than a ****** walled garden iOS device for the same price
Does that mean that iPhone 12 will also get the new Touch ID power button?
Now that I think about it, Touch ID power button on iPhone is less practical since most iPhones go into Apple cases that cover the button.
This is the most interesting thing about the new iPad Air.
On compute power, raw power the A14 is better and more efficient...but in gpu, and here the ipad pro wins, and in general big screens needs more gpu than cpuIt’s more powerful than the pro. I mean it’s okay but quite expensive for an Air. Might as well go all the way tk the pro then.
I prefer touch ID anyways and doesn't look like apple is going all-in on the faceID vs. upgrading the touchIDThe part most cases cover.
FaceID is a pro feature, coming to the new iPad Pro replacement: the Apple Silicon MacBook.
