It's so surprising that this still makes the headlines every year. It's not like they're actually exploding in masses like some others have done in the past...
It’s not like they can’t... My biggest problem with people jumping all over Samsung was the smug attitude that this could only happen to Samsung.

Samsung is a world class design company. If this can happen to them it can, and will, happen to anybody.

Hindsight says Samsung overlooked issues in the pressure to get to market. Anyone with foresight understands all companies are under that kind of pressure.

No I disagree. I read this article and also thought the Apple bias was strong with this one. Why can't they simply report the story without inserting opinion? If Apple did a press release saying "Don't worry", then Macrumors can report that too. But no need to insert their view into the story.
Agreed . Focus on on the facts. Adding ones own opinion shows bias in news reporting . Though as I stated already, this is just click bait journalism. Should see lots of silly posts and laughs at the Samsung note 7.

they probably dropped it as they were trying to unbox faster by force pulling the bottom of the box when they should have just waited for the box to slowly uncover.

Or they are part of the same 99.9% Asian resellers who steal parts of out brand smart phones, especially iPhones and sell them. Opened the phones to see what they might be able to sell and then couldn’t put them back together properly so they are claiming the batteries expanded. Which might explain why all the photos in that tweet are lit in a way where you can’t see inside the phone to see that the battery isn’t swollen.

You are on an opinionated Apple related website, so naturally I think some views are going to Vary. That said, I disagree with you.

THe article also stated:

"With millions of iPhones coming off of Apple's production lines every time new models launch, it's common for a few to have battery failures."

To me, I think this is more of a generalization the article is commenting into versus a direct opinion and nor is this biased. This has happened to the iPhone before with other models, but it wasn't widespread. I don't think MacRumors is necessarily being completely one sided here, as they are more or less reporting the latest news on the Internet and and there are no facts available as to what this could lead to potentially to anything else, nor did Apple confirm anything. So Speculation is appropriate given the circumstances.

LOL....simply corroborating? They don't have a clue whether anyone should worry or not. Huge, bold font reeks of PR spin. Apple has it's own PR department to minimize any issues, no matter how large or small, they don't need macrumors to do it for them.

Number one, Macrumors didn't caps lock it like your post is indicating. . Number two, they're just simply reporting what is being discussed across the Internet, they don't want to insinuate any facts until Apple corroborates anything.

That sort of damage has clearly been caused by the panel being pushed out from inside, we’re not talking about a shattered screen here...

There are reports that scammers and resellers in major cities are popping out screams by pushing air under the screen. And then claiming its a swollen battery. Supposedly some of the neophytes have accidentally admitted this method to even Apple employees at several stores

There have been isolated examples of bloated batteries every iPhone release. please don't lie about the facts and make it out like it's never happened and that it's the users fault.

Happens to every other manufacturer also

Apple sells millions of devices , sometimes the batteries fail....it in their nature

This is Not clickbait at all. Its an Apple related story on an Apple related website, what else would you expect? These are stories have been surfacing on the Internet for a couple days now, and Macrumors naturally reporting based off the circumstances. And no need to bring the Note 7 into this, as it doesn't have any correlation to this article. That was a totally separate issue.

Again, MacRumors never caps locked anything like your original post was indicating, you're exaggerating. They're corroborating other details based off what on others reports Surfaced off the internet.

And if it is a major issue, Apples public relations department would respond if appropriate. In the meantime, it's speculation and a rumors website naturally will report based on others findings. As the article suggested, this is not the first time this has happened to the iPhone or other phones that are first off the production line.

Keep ignoring the huge bold font. What exactly is your spin for the need for huge, bold font?

Because a rumored website reports Apple related news based off what else is surfacing off the internet. Regardless if you don't agree with it, it's still Apple related news. Even If it is two incidents, you can't tell me it can't be reported or discussed on an Apple related website.

If you read the post, spot the only Bold text in the whole story , that is what he is referring to. Can you see the point ? Don't have to agree with it .

You're blowing this out of proportion more than the article is. Reread your first post and it was never capitalized the way you made it sound. I can understand if you want to simply ignore the other points addressed to you that you refuse to adresss.

Sure it can, but this is the very type of story that defines click bait journalism .

Look at us going for it, over 2 phones.......lol. bingo! Take a step back and see what is happening ..... ;)

I fully understand that. That's not even my point. It's not a matter of me agreeing, it's a matter of what I indicated in the past three posts. Feel free to reread those posts.

Because Mac rumors reports a story based off something that surfaced off the Internet, and this qualifies for Clickbait? On a rumored website? My question to you is, if it qualifies for click bait, then why are you participating so heavily into this.

Hahaha i never understood why people always try to pull it when what they have to do is just put it on a table, slowly pull the top and the bottom will slide slowly. That's part of the unboxing experience haha you don't force it, it reveals to you.
