this is really an exciting news.. :) but i am just not sure if revision would be far superior than the last?

i am guessing that next year's revision would be more appealing as there should definitely have USB3.0, blu-ray, and HDMI..

PRAYING FOR USB3.0.. :(

The pic was taken with a Sony Ericsson Z310a on August 8, 2008. Is it possible that Apple had a final enough design for the enclosure as far back as August 8? And who on the Apple campus would be using a Sony Ericsson phone :p

On the 14th :

1- New macbooks will come
2- Peaceful aliens are suppose to invade (type october 14th in youtube)
3- It's election day in Canada

I doubt there will be a HDMI port. maybe a DisplayPort. As long as they don't downgrade to a DVI-mini!!

Have Intel brought out any mobile quad core chips? or are they even close to doing so?
 
omigodomigodomigod! I was going to walk into the VAIO shop tomorrow because I thought they weren't going to release until January. Someone up there likes me!

HDMI is just DVI with sound i believe, ACD doesn't have speakers.....

Intel has mobile quad core chips out. Keep in mind Apple got the X7900 for the iMacs last year weeks before other manufacturers did.

gloss vs matte screen
never buy rev A models
missing/dropped features
pricey BTO options
etc etc!

I for one am ready to upgrade my Macbook so can't wait to see what's new!
 
And I just told mom and dad, that I didn't needed a computer with internet on Tuesday and Wednesday. :eek:

The mini's seem to get laptop hardware, so I suspect ( if they keep the mini ) soon after. A dual-dvi mini would be nice.
 
Ok, so we're getting somewhere now. Oct 14th it is. Is that a MBP or MB in the picture? Looks like a plastic casing so, probably a MB. That would be consistent with what the back of the iPhone looks like.

I doubt the lateness of the invitation release had anything to do with us MR members. It more likely was later than usual because Apple didn't want to stop sales of current MacBooks until the last possible moment.
 
Tuesday seems so far away. Hopefully we will get a few more details before then...
 
I am so happy I can cry, and I hate myself for it! Goddamn you Apple and your incredible products!
