First pos.... argh dammit!

The logo is lit from an outside light source there, wonder if that has any significance ;)

(I very much doubt it, but we might as well cover the possibilities!)

Glad to hear it. Was starting to wonder!

I'm not about to read through 12 pages to see if you were actually kidding about the logo being lit by an outside light source, maybe as a nod to the idiots 2 months ago saying that the spyshots made it look like the logo wasn't going to be backlit anymore when there were obviously holes for LEDs to light it up, so I'm just going to say it now...... HOW IN THE WORLD CAN YOU ACTUALLY THINK THAT????? The light is fading off well before the logo, it is obviously backlit.

Now I feel much better. Thank you.

just dont get your hopes up..

i reckon.. more macbook air stylings.. backlit kb on macbooks, multitouch trackpad .. and just processor bumps, maybe improved screen res etc...

there still needs to be a difference between the MB and MBP which at the moment the major diff is graphics card...

it'll certainly be interesting.. especially the pricepoints... as with the economy the way it is, people are going to be reluctant to shell out big bucks...

Came across this on tinypic. It'd be sweet if they had this basic look to them.

Needs more elevators and "It's a trap!"

I just checked again your right , back to normal fluctuations i got myself on one ! An announcement of this calibre should have an effect on their price though ?

Apple announcing new products isn't going to change the fact that the entire world financial system is in deep meltdown.

Does anyone think we could see a 32GB iPhone on the 14th too or is it just updates to the notebook product line? I'm holding out buying one for a couple of weeks after that rumour of a mid-October capacity-bump.
:)

Two Things....

1. I recently purchased some ram for my BlackBook that i returned...It was 5300 (of course). What is the likelihood of apple using the same speed ram in this next update. I figure they will probably be using new chipsets, so chances are it won't be compatible, right?

2. I just wanted to say something, nothing against this forum or the users on it. I don't think that I will religiously read what everyone has to say on these forums any longer. I have spent the last 2 weeks to hear something about these new computers, hoping that somehow, someone would know something. EVERYTHING has been speculation. Nobody knows, or even came close to knowing when these things would be released, what their specs would be, how much they will cost, what the colors and options would be, etc. I know that I should have expected this, but i thought maybe, just maybe, someone would be dead on the money when Apple made their announcement. Turns out, everyone was saying, 'ooooh its too late for a press event, the deadline has passed, apple can't send an invite out later than a week before...and especially not on a thursday...BLAH BLAH BLAH' Apple will do what they do, when they do it, however they want to do it. None of this will ever be determined by what a bunch of people say on a rumors website. Nothing against speculating, just against the people that think they know ***** about things they have no idea.

So the rumour is actually true.

Cant wait. Now, does anyone know where is the best place to sell my current laptop? I need some extra cash to buy a new mac.

Bring it on Apple!!

That invitation is so revealing, btw. It's like they already announced the new MacBooks just from the invitation. Kinda unlike Apple, but hey, I'm not complaining.

No, the iPhone had its spotlight a few months ago. It's Mac's turn now. Finally! :)

apple definately have a sense of humour. Reckon they were playin with our minds by sending out invites later than usual.

Bring on Tuesday!
