I think Apple is the only company who people get this excited about their products. :D

lol with all the rumors, the date has been spot on. Well let's see what these new notebooks look like. I won't be getting one as I just purchased a used MB but def curious to see what these new ones will be packing. I am in the market for a iPT and Mac Mini, but I don't know if a new mini will be introduced.

I.. can breathe again. This feels strange, not being so annoyed at waiting. Seems like a stroll in the park now, can just quietly wait til they're released.

There's no folding - it's just the screen part and the keyboard is touch screen.

This makes me wonder.
Gag, the thought of a frickin touch screen keyboard on a Mac would make me not buy it. Touchscreen keyboards are so much slower to type than an actual keyboard with tactile feedback.

about time ....

 ...Yes ! new notebook's , brilliant, ...one product down one to go ...

..where's my new Mini

*grabs everyone in close proximity and hugs them wildly whilst doing unique and obscure victory dance!*

Yay....i am about to purchase my first macbook.....i wonder if they are aluminium whether the apple logo will light up in different colours...?

Who cares about Notebooks. Where the new Mini?
Where's the revolutionary new product?
Yet another rehash, redesign, updated "look" to existing notebooks. Yawn

SO WHAT.

We need something really different.
  • Multi-touch tablet PC.
  • Device sized between iPhone and laptop.
  • AppleTV/Mini replacement with Blu-Ray, HD record, competitive pricing.

Who cares? How about a huge percentage of the computer-buying public? Let's look at your list:

1. Tablet PC. Tablets aren't that big of a market for mainstream, let alone Apple.
2. The market is already saturated with low cost, low margin netbooks. Again, not a huge money maker.
3. Might happen, now that the Blu Ray/HD-DVD war is over.

I was hoping for a more generic new product teaser. Not them saying its ONLY a notebook update.

Yawn

That's a legitimate complaint.

(not being sarcastic)

I've been waiting for the notebook update, but if you've been waiting for a Mini, etc., I guess you'll have to hold out even longer. I feel your pain. I'm still psyched about my upcoming new MBP, though. :)

Wow what's your problem?

Here's a comparison with the current MacBooks. Top shot is the invitation, bottom is the Black MacBook. Looks like exactly the same ratio screen and Apple Logo, so I think this is the 13" MacBook (or 13" MacBook Pro?) in this invitation.

I just hope Apple don't fall flat on Mac updates like they've done recently...

Musts (for me - at the high end...)
- Keep the matte display option, very important that one...
- Blu-ray. Come on Apple... lol
- Up to 8GB RAM would be nice.
- SSD bto.
- Advanced trackpad
- HDMI port
- 9700M GTS - But I feel Apple will end up with a 9600M GT

Would like
- Mobile quad-core would be a great suprise, an Apple first given their 'special' ties with Intel. But I won't be holding out for it. You never know...
- Biometric (finger print) scanner would be also nice, but it's in another of those "Apple stubbonly won't do" pots...
Please no more of these useless gimmicks.
