Apple Invites Media to 'Notebook' Event October 14th

Briefly, but I reckon they'll go up again after the refurb stock (which tends to be very good value) has ran out.

Apple stuff holds its value surprisingly well on eBay, even the G4 Mac Minis are only like £100 ($200) less than a brand new Intel one.

Normally I'd agree with you but there are different circumstances now.

you could buy a used or refurb "notebook" for $200 less than one now. Or you could buy a totally re-designed new one for $200 less.Which would you choose ?

Display:none mean it will be something that is no displayed... i.e. not something we can see on the normal site. Even is it something completely insignificant...

Lurker just registered. Just gotta say... THANK YOU!!! I've been waiting since may. Almost purchased in may, but there was a rumor for june, then august, then september. Now FINALLY it looks like the notebooks will be updated.

I am rocking a powerbook G4 1.0 Ghz with 512 ram. Even though it's still chugging along, it's a little sluggish and I need an upgrade. Seriously, i've spilled cheap wine all over the keyboard and had to get the insides cleaned out. I've later spilled soda on my keyboard and a few keys stick. The case seams are starting to fill in with dirty blackness. My display hinge broke and is being held together by a glass cabinet door holder/hinge. lol.

im so lucky, phew before i started really reading into all the rumors about new macbooks and checking the mac buyers guide, i was literally seconds away from spending 900 dollars on a macbook about a month ago. SO GLAD i didnt pull the trigger on that one. Come on October 14th, come faster please
