I think I read somewhere that Gizmodo or Engadget (one of them) was doing a live stream. I dunno though.

At least most of you guys only have to wait to Tues. Down here, down under, in New Zealand we have to wait to Weds morning, at some unearthly hour, to find out.
I know..... same here in Australia - 4:00 AM in Canberra.
It's going to be worth it though....
1AM here. Not too bad I guess. Luckily I don't have class on Wednesday, heh.

Is that a live video though? Or just a live blog like MR and Engadget do?

Damn. Just the way you said "live steam" got my hopes up. Ah well, it's nice to have 3 live blogs going at once until it gets interesting - various wordings of "audience wait to be seated" for 30 minutes.![]()
I was watching gizmodo's liveblog for September's ipod event, and it was great. Those guys have a great sense of humor too, for a bunch of massive nerds![]()
I agree, the Gizmodo coverage was great. Very entertaining and informative.
Does anyone know how long after they post the keynote on the apple site??

er - so what's the big deal?
are you lot suggesting that the new MBP will be able to do something the old one can't?

Make a bookmark to the following URL
http://www.apple.com/quicktime/qtv
That URL usually points to the newest uploaded Apple event (currently the September special event). I keep that bookmarked as I like to watch the keynotes "spoiler free" whenever possible.

No one does live video streaming of Apple keynotes. You will be able to find some live audio streams, but they all suck goat ass. The source is usually some loud mouth-breather on a laptop and 90% of what you hear is the geek typing since the microphone used is the built-in laptop mic.live blog i believe, i wasn't aware anyone did live video from apple events
In the past, the education discount has always applied to new products, but then nothing is ever certain. When the new macbooks / macbook pros become available in the shops will the student discount apply from their launch or do apple not offer the discount for a while? Will the reduced price apple care still be available? I am in the UK and was wanting to buy a new mbp with the student discount and was wondering if I would have to wait for a time.
Thanks
Playing, yes. Burning, not the very low-end models ($100), but most of them ($140+) do.Folks, say there was a bluray option in the new 'puters - can anyone tell me if typically b' drives are back compatible with regular dvd and cd burning/playing.
