Apple Invites Media to 'Notebook' Event October 14th

I'm jonesing! :) I'm hoping for the best so that I don't have to resort to upgrading pieces in my current MBP. Bring on Blu-ray, bring on a 320GB HD, bring on a glass trackpad with full multi-touch! :)

all those people who are p!ssed about the lack of a Mini update. Rightfully so I might add. Apple is really missing out on a great way to push into the market if they would lower the price and upgrade the specs. (or at the least lower the price...)

This is great but when is the NEXT update going to be?!?!?

Come on Apple hurry up I can't wait to start complaining about when you guys are going to release another update!!!!
 
Bring it on, any update will be appreciated, and about bloody time too:) now to sit the weekend out watching x factor
 
i'm gonna go out on the limb and say ilife 09 will be introduced or at least something software related. these past events apple tends to focus a lot on something to do with software and not hardware.
 
Since we are sure there will be an event for the notebooks, do you think there's some slight chance Apple will be putting Blu-ray Drive into the new MBP? I mean there has to be something worthy of an event. Just a case redesign and some spec bump aren't enough, right?

I got my 1st macbook ever in march - the Macbook :D :D

and apple is releasing new macbook :mad:

Hope its not just aluminium with slight bump in specs, i think we waited long enough for something special. Dedicated macbook graphics and LED screens and backlit keys please!!!!!!!!!! :D

I've bought :apple: MBP 17" penryn 4Gb RAM, Hi-res LED screen last May..

(looks the same MBP to me..)

I paid $380 for a Mini from the Apple refurb store. It was a good deal at that price. It's a 1.25Ghz G4. It is still useful for the web, email and iTunes. Apple needs to either sell a Mini for well under $500 again or kill the product.

The mini and the macbook have always shared an internal design. If they can make an $800 MB then they cam make a $500 Mini. After all the Mini is just a MB with no LCD screen, no battery, no touch screen and no keyboard.
