I think they'll introduce new iphones that won't bend. The last one was the 4s. It's been way too long...

My Prediction: Apple is changing the set-top cable box and the way we will get/view our content. Steve Jobs said "I've cracked the code". Tim Cook also said in an interview, the cable box interface and the way the family gathers around the TV is like something from the 70's.

Just my 2 pennies

"It's Been Way Too Long" since they held their last event? What are they talking about? It happened just last month with the iPhone 6, Watch, and U2 announcement.

A few people have mentioned that perhaps the colours indicate a return to the colourful logo. I not sure myself but perhaps Apple will release limited/special/anniversary lines with either a colourful log to celebrate 30 years or perhaps full colour products like a Red/Green/Blue iMac Retina or Macbook Air/Pro)? Apple can sell products to people who don't need them and this could be yet another reason to upgrade to a newer product just to get the limited edition.

I still think it's Apple TV and just a few refreshes of other lines (inc a 12" Air)

It's been way too long that our flagship iPad has been choking on 1GB of memory

Apple TV?

I have a sneaking suspicion that they will introduce the Apple TV. Not the "NEW" hockey puck but a Television set.

Would have heard leaks if it was anything revolutionary. So, I think this doesn't mean much.

I've got to ask... what is your interest in the iPhone 6? Hardware and spec wise its so similar to the 5s. Is it just the bigger screen size? What do you do on it where you want a bigger screen at the expense of pocket / walking comfort and 1 handed use?

The biggest bump in hardware capability between the iPhone 6 and 5s is the GPU. And in the GPU benchmark below you can see its a MUCH smaller jump than we typically see in a new iPhone launch. Which is made even more surprising because its got the advantage of a much bigger case and battery to fit in more powerful hardware. For what you are paying, it just seems like a rip off.

Tom's hardware has a more detailed comparison and the 5s screen is much much much better color accuracy, better speakers, better GPU performance for open GL applications. And those are just the objective measurements. This is personal but for me at least the size of the iPhone 6 is off-putting. http://www.tomsguide.com/us/iphone-6-benchmark-results,news-19584.html

I'm curious to hear your thoughts and opinions... but say you really wanted a large screen phone. When the 5s was released it beat out the Galaxy Note 2 in most benchmarks. Think about that, the smallest smart phone, beating out the largest smart phone (not released at same time but co-existing in the same generation). I would expect the iPhone 6 to trounce the Note 4, but it doesn't even come close to the Note 3! To buy the iPhone 6 I would just feel like i got scammed! The wait for a 6s if you want the bigger phone seems like such a no brainer to me. Again, let me know your thoughts, I am not meaning to sound like a git ; )

Interesting. Well Tom's hardware has had questionable credibility over the years and has been replaced by Anandtech, GSM Arena, ArsTechnica and Display Mate. All of them mention that the 6 and the 6 Plus have superior screens, which really doesn't surprise me seeing as the 5S screen is basically the screen from the original 5 from 2012.

The 5S is still an excellent phone and in terms of processor performance, the 6/6+ was more of a tick-tock release, but that doesn't negate the fact that the CPU, GPU has been improved, as well as NAND performance, RAM and both cameras.

Apple TV would seem most logical for that tagline. Though no rumors have come out even mentioning that.

That would be awesome if their one more thing was the oft-rumored but never-delivered Apple TV.

Apple supports the Comcast/TW merger, and Comcast/TW allows the new ATV on their network. Win-win!

'It's Been Way Too Long' for

  • OS X Yosemite
  • new iPad Air/mini
  • Retina iMac
  • Apple Tv

That's my prediction :p

I say updates to the macbook air line. I mean, no "real" updates for a while. Processor upgrades, flash SSD, but the chasis is the same as it had been from MBA one (minus the little foldable thing on the side).

That's my guess.

Plus the logo is colorful like on the original mac.

Given how much pressure Apple is under I would think that even if they had an Apple TV set ready they'd wait a year to release it so as to not overshadow the Watch and give us too much too soon.

- Apple TV
- Thunderbolt display
- Mac Mini
- Retina iMac (based on recent rumours)
- iPad
- OS X Yosemite

What else could there be?
