It's been way too long.

"It's been way too long" can't be about iMacs and MacBooks.

Yes, I'm talking about you Mac Mini, Cinema Display, and AppleTV.

For any portal fans, in portal 2, GLaDOS says it's been a long time, apple said its been too long, thus GLaDOS is replacing Siri!

----------

That's because they were announced before apple began producing them

And that's what they'll do for their new product or major Mac product categories. Why? because competitors will not have enough time to create copies fast before Apple, so Apple will not rush to production...like MacPro. iPhone and iPad are different because competitors are on hold to wait for what Apple release and change production in the last minutes.

The Mac mini has never been marquee enough to warrant being the focus of the tagline. Plus, Apple did introduce the last major design changes to it quietly and there's no reason to assume they won't do so again. Nor has the displays, nor has the iMacs. The iPads are, but it hasn't been that long. OS X Yosemite is, but as with the iPads, it hasn't been THAT long. MacBook Pros are timely, as are MacBook Airs; there are chips out for a Mac Pro update, but even back when it was updated in a timely fashion, the Mac Pro would get updates over a year apart.

Barring new products, I can only assume that iPods will get a major update here and that's because you can literally eliminate every other product logically.

Yeah it seems that the Apple TV is the most likely to be what apple is talking about. But every time I think about the words "Its been way to long" I really feel that by saying this Apple is dissing on themselves. Weird...

I can't see them doing that either (dissing themselves) so it has to be something we (consumers) have waited "too long" for.

The apple and the leaf on the invite have no stem connecting them....
Didn't someone mention cutting cords?? Power cords, Ethernet cords, headphine cords???

It's been way too long…

Jonny appears in a long kaftan , "welcome to the new bondi blue imac, we've been listening to all the critics out there, and decided to go back to our roots, check out that pinstripe designed by the great Bono. Yes people skeuomorphic is back in again. Look at that beautiful leather trim. Lovely translucent high resistance perspex illuminated with an otherworldly blue straight from the early eighties. And we've got cables, lots of beautiful cables designed by me old mucker fig newton."

It's been way too long since we redesigned keyboard and mouse. Also new trackpad. With touch-id.

Trust me: Apple is forgetting about the iPod.

But are the customers? That will be the ultimate deciding factor. The price of an iPod classic has rocketed since Apple discontinued it, so there is clearly demand. It may no longer be a mass-market product, but Apple doesn't always chase the mass market since big profits are to be made from small, niche sectors - they're still bothering with the Mac Pro, after all.

I say this more out of hope than anything else, of course. I really don't want to look elsewhere for an MP3 player but, unless a new iPod comes out, I'm going to have to eventually.

The rainbow colors could indicate a return of color options for iMacs/MacBooks (though more like the iPhone colors than the more... vivid... options of yore).

Reckon you're spot on there, mate! Good guess!

Mac Minis surely as well.

That's a pretty good theory as well!!

Also the touch ID on keyboard or trackpad theory, but that hasn't been way too long as they've never had that before.

it's been way too long.

.......that the cable and telco companies have had us as cash cows.

this looks like a cable and a scalpel?

REALLY wonder what the announcement is!:)

This. It's a huge update to the Apple TV with new interface, you can watch tv through it as well. New App Store. iPhones and iPads as remotes.

If that's true you better bet the watch will play into it too
