Didn't they have the design only and none built at the time of reveal? Like the Apple Watch? That's probably the safest way– no products, no leaks.

Didn't they show a video of them being built at the Texas factory?

The iPhone is a mass produced device and given the volume and fact that much of the supply chain is overseas, it's difficult to contain leaks.

When all of your Mac Pros are made at one location in Texas, it's far easier. Even if they've already been built.

Power cables. It must surely mean we have finally seen the last of power cables!… :p

Jeeze just bought two new iPhones!!!! I should just have my paychecks sent directly to Apple. Cut out the middle man.

Well hopefully i can give my wallet a rest and buy all the new stuff they announce with :apple:Pay on my iPhone. ;)

The place the event will be held is the Town Hall auditorium on its own Cupertino headquarters campus.

oh nevermind. i guess maybe they had other things going on during the week that they had to go with thursday over tuesday.

"It's been way too long" since a damn Apple TV update!

Be careful what you wish for, there's not much for them to do with the AppleTv other than make it "thinner" and remove what few ports it has now. I'm scared the jagoffs will remove the ethernet and make it wifi only.

Agreed. I think the Apple TV is the longest Apple hardware to go without an update.

AppleTV gen 3 came out in early 2012. It was slightly updated in early 2013.

Thunderbolt Display is a year older.

If you don't count the minor update to the iPod touch this year (new colors, camera added to low-end model,) the iPod touch is just as old as the AppleTV.

The Mac mini is nearly as old as the AppleTV, and hasn't even received the minor update.

And if we go for historical products, the "Platinum" color Apple ][e Enhanced went unchanged for 6 years. (1987 to discontinuance in 1993.)

They are going to make a longer (i.e. 16:9) iPad. More convenient for viewing videos/youtube and browsing the net, which is what most people use their tablets for

This invite is similar to the logo they used for 30th anniversary Mac celebration. This event for sure will have something to do with Macs.

i'm assuming no more betas for iOS 8.1 and release candidates for os x yosemite. the rest of the changes/bug fixes are being done behind doors.

Stylus?

"It's been way too long"....meaning they'll release new 4:3 aspect ratio iPhones! :p

No, they did have a few models of it - the journalists got to go and have a close up look after the keynote.
But they could have been models produced solely within the design labs at Apple, where they can control the staff!

Yes, of course I know they had them at the keynote location. My point was they weren't mass produced yet. ;)
