I wouldn’t object to an iPhone XR designed in that style. A translucent back showing the insides of the phone and bold design features like an oversized Apple logo and speaker holes.

You’re all betting the invite implies iPhone colors, with that tagline?

That’s an apple logo in 3D.

I’m betting AR is getting a lot bigger and that’s where the innovation is implied. Maybe the new iPhone camera that can sense the space around it in 3D?

AR Will eventually be the future for Apple, yes I agree with that, but not necessarily just for the iPhone, but the AR glasses are a massive part of that project. Not just the iPhone by itself.

It’s soon shall be that time of the year that we must obey Apple’s orders to fill their already full to the brim bank accounts. Please give generously.

I'm happy the camera is going to be better, but man the design looks sooooo bad... But I'm not sure what else you could do if you're adding another camera...

You could make the back of iPhone flat, eliminate the bump, and on a black phone, the cameras would be near invisible.

That’s what they could do. Easy.

Internal innovations sure. But the same basic design since iPhone 6. Mac mini? Same design since 2014. MacBook Pro, Air, Trashcan ..... you get the idea. They have been reusing the same designs for years. I've even read the much hyped MBP 16 is the same old design 15", but with smaller bezels to get the screen size to 16 inches.

I don't know about anyone else but I am ready for some fresh designs. My iPhone XS is fast, takes great photos, and cost a lot... Do not need more cameras or incremental upgrades. I'm looking for a new design.

rainbow apple logo may return to back of mac or ios products perhaps?

back of macbook hasn't been the same since the illuminated logo had gone

No, it hasn’t, and no it won’t - there’ll be no rainbow logo Apple on the back of anything.

These are supposed the colors of the XR model.

They kind of look like the Siri waveforms. I haven't seen much coverage with regards to Siri improvements in the iOS13 updates, but it would certainly be a welcome improvement to see some new functionality and AI smarts from everybody’s favourite voice assistant.

Is there really though? Seems like a below average year for things to be excited about. Waiting for next year's smaller iPhone 11S or whatever they call it. Also not a fan of the rounded corners on the mockup MBP screen.

Rounded corners have always been part of Apple’s design language, since the first Macintosh... lately, they have been bringing them back (first in Apple Watch 4, now in iPad Pros), so it stands to reason that this will extend across the product line.

Which I’m okay with. It’s a nice touch.

Yearly upgrades are in a state of diminishing return.
