These backsides are getting uglier from release to release. It would look much better, if the camera surrounding had the same color as the iPhone. But ppl will but it anyway...

I am only interested in hearing Tim say "it's the greatest iPhone!" and nothing else.

I mean some of the rumored upgrades look cool and all, but I wouldn’t call any of them “innovative”

Maybe wait and see what at the event.

I mean why wouldn’t you buy a phone based on how the cameras look?
I don’t spend a lot of time looking at the back of my phone.

So, innovation question aside, I’m just curious why having a cluster of lenses in the top left corner is so horrible? I mean seriously... Samsung S10 has a giant black bar stretching the back side of their phone a third of the way down.

Realistically there is only so many places to put cameras, and since no one wants to carry a DSLR size phone and lenses for a quick shot, multiple small cameras with different settings is a viable alternative. Or do you think life will go back to the day when a phone had no camera? A completely bare backside is not very “innovative” either. ;)

Hopefully theirs some iOS 13 features thats exclusive to the new model.

WTF? Why?

Why would you want those that choose to keep their 10/10s models not to have the full feature set offered by iOS 13?

This is the most absurd thing I’ve read in this forum in the ten years I’ve been here.

going back to plastic-colored Apple Products!!

You are joking, but I would LOVE it if they adapted those ideas for today machines. Not going to happen due to today's plastic waste problems/perception, but a Mac fan can dream...

I don't give a crap about their latest overpriced phones or high-end laptops. But I love that Apple logo. I want the poster for this event.

I want someone to make a wallpaper for the Xs Max with a black background of that logo!

I came here to laugh at the haters being baited by Apple.
Not only could I not connect to MR Forums (DoS-ed by the frenzied snarling) on first attempt but when I finally got here I wasn't disappointed!
LOL! Can't wait to see what Apple's got to make them piss, moan and hate (in envy) for the next 12 months.

iPhone 6: So would you prefer your phone to be a triangle? Isohedron? The changes with the X (removal of home button, full face screen, faceid authentication, notch) weren't externally visible innovations?
Mac mini: Apple has stated publicly customers asked them to keep the same form factor/measurements since they are used so heavily by some companies in data center/farm environments.
MacBook Pro, Air: So keyboard sticking up and screen laying flat on the table?
Trashcan: You mean the machine thats getting completely replaced within the next few months with something that has an entirely different internal and external design?

Plus they have come out with a watch, with AirPods, etc.

I don't really get your idea. It sounds like you don't really know specifically what you want, but you want revolutionary designs that may or may not work in the real world, rather than incremental evolution.

Those incremental changes are still innovations.

Yeah, Apple typically prefers to have a few items of focus for an event, to better control the narrative in the press.

Let's be realistic. To think I am looking for triangles or bizarre design seems a little over the top don't you think? The mere idea that I am looking for fresh or new design does not mean I am confused, lost, or do not know what I want. A bit dramatic are we?

BTW, IMO a notch is not an innovation. As far as the mini is concerned I am sure companies were also asking Apple to update the Mini, but instead in 2014 we got a downgrade, and then finally an upgrade in 2018, but barely. It only took 5 years for internal updates. Very innovative. I still bought one. So I actually use their products as well. I have just become a bit cynical.

The Apple Watch and AirPods were new and refreshing I agree. Yet, since the release of the Apple Watch it's pretty much got a little wider and a little flatter, but the general design has been the same since AW1. I appreciate the internal updates, better screens etc., but it's incremental. It's always small incremental baby steps. I will say a feature that was innovative and very smart was the ECG feature. I'll give that one a thumbs up. I bought one because of that feature alone. As far as the AirPods they are not my taste. I do not like the idea of small pencils sticking out of my ears, but that's just me.

To me being innovative means a lot more than incremental updates. As far as what I would like to see, that's not up to me to decide or tell them what to do. I'd like to see a flying car one day, but I have no idea how to build one. Not my job.
