I'm most likely getting this next iPhone because I'm on the iPhone upgrade plan.

But man, I have never felt this lukewarm about a new iPhone.

Many other options! Try one!

Lightning headphones don't count since that's proprietary, and nobody like that. Using 3.5mm adapters aren't an option since they aren't solutions. Bluetooth is the only real option, so claiming there are "many other options" isn't valid.

What we'll end up getting: Space Black with a cleaner looking back casing, a new camera that is a little better in low-light, OIS, lose a headphone jack, maybe an improved 3D Touch system, water resistance, and a little bit of a battery improvement. Ok but probably not enough to wow most people and improve sales. If it's fully water proof then that could be better. If it comes with great wireless headphones in box then that could also help. We'll probably end up getting Lightning EarPods with $129-149 wireless AirPods and $19 3.5mm to Lightning adapters. Still not sure whether we'll see that flush Touch ID home button, but it could be a good transition to a home button free iPhone, and having different shortcuts depending how hard you press on the home button could be useful.

If the iPhone 7 doesn't have a higher pixel density display and a better camera, I'm gone. Just look at the display on the galaxy note 7. It's worlds ahead of the iPhone display which has been the same pixel density since 2010.

I've had an iPhone since 2008 and currently have the '6'. Every time I use a Galaxy S 6 or 7, and then go back to my iPhone, the display is just a disappointment.

Apple used to be the company adding new features years ahead of its time. Now it's playing catchup to the Koreans.

Yup really beautiful design and screen but that brand new note 7 got spanked by last years iPhone. Not to mention the countless reviews that states the Note 7 is a lag fest when doing even the simplest task.

Apple Pencil support would be sweet!
Yeah, being able to make little sketches with the Apple Pencil while out and about would be pretty handy. You'd think it wouldn't be that difficult to implement and would push more sales of the Pencil and get people to buy an iPad Pro for the full experience once they see how well it works.

Ive criticised apple for this in previous threads, but honestly, the display is still great for being an LCD. Sure, the note 7 has an edge to edge display, is OLED, has a great resolution with great colours but that doesnt make the iPhone 6s bad in that regard.

Even thought some people are not excited about this one, I'm still stoked! Looking forward to the advancements in the iPhone and even though it probably won't come at this event, I can't wait for the new MBP to be announced later this fall!

Just to save everybody's time, this will the course of events of the forum

"Boring I will keep my [insert previous iPhone version]"
"Apple is not innovating anymore"
"I am switching to Android because I am bored."
"So expensive. I can buy China phone for 1/3rd of the price."
"Stupid Apple. Website is hanging/crashing."
"My pre-order is in. How about you guys?"
"Mine is shipping! Here's the screenshot."
"Out of stock? Stupid Apple. I'm buying Android."
"Does anybody know if I can just walk in to store [insert Apple store location] and buy one?"
"My iPhone has [insert minor blemish], I am returning it. Apple is going downhill."
"I just bought this new iPhone. What a ripoff. I hate Apple."
*repeat when t = September 2017
Wow, you spend a lot of time on Macrumors.

And this article implies that there are going to be a lot of pissed off MacBook Pro people as they will have to wait longer for a new MacBook Pro.

I personally am waiting to buy one and this whole delay thing with not releasing or at least announcing one at this event is not helping Apple at all. I am not in a position where I have to buy one now but I am one that will wait for the newest version. I am not buying the current MacBook Pro when there should be a new one out soon.

I'm guessing the new macbooks will be introduced at the October event.
